And to add to that I have one question to support your point:
Can anyone here see JR Smith....JR MOflockin' SMITH!!!, a castaway off the worst Knicks team in their history, hoisting an NBA title????
If that day ever comes....good god....
yeah it's a joke to me that this guy is in the ECF let alone soon to be in the NBA finals. Dude has been a chucker, knuckle head all his career. Again, much like Dellaverollover on players legs....they are both lucky they are on Lebrons teams w/ officiating siding w/ them each series or they wouldnt sniff anywhere near the ECF or finals.

I agree with the OP, Cavs have little to no chance to beat the Warriors.
I remember the 2004 Pistons winning the title very well. +500 to win the series and +1000 to win the title prior to the start of the playoffs.
That was a huge upset as far as Vegas odds are concerned, as far as reality is concerned it was not an upset at all, the Piston were the better team by any measure of mathmatical probabilities.
Basketball-reference SRS had Pistons the better team, they had a far better pt margin, my PR's Pistons easily better in both by huge amounts, it's one of those rare cases where because of public perception you can get the better team at an unbelievable price, comes along about once a decade.
I did call on another site the Piston to win the title before the playoffs and I warned everyone that Piston may not just beat the Lakers they could dominate the series.
What people missed about the Pistons was after signing Rasheed Wallace with about 22-23 games left in the season, they dominated the league, even destroying the better teams, they had something around a 15 pt margin of victory, which if maintained over the entire season would be a record, puts in perspective the level they were playing on with Wallace.
The Cavs are not the Piston and the Warriors are light years better then that 2004 Laker team ever dreamed of being.........................
And the idiot of the year goes to......

they sat love in 4 th because he is a liability on D, he spaces floor but he was more or less a decoy in Cleveland this year, the reason he will be a C next year.
yes im fully aware of that, i watched a couple of those games but Love put up very good numbers and helped the team immensely. KLOve can play, to saythe team is better without him is wrong. If you got someone to replace him that fits the system better then maybe...

you arent a better team by subtracting a guy that is basically a 20 points, 10 rebounds type of player that can shoot 3s... His D is not good, i know that but the guy is a beast.

As a Cavs fan, I obviously think this team is better with Love than without Love. He does so much for the offense by simply just stretching the floor, and also provides Blatt plenty of flexibility to mix and match lineups. I just still believe, even without him, that we have a decent chance at beating the Dubs in the finals. I'd cap the series at Dubs -180 and Cavs +150

Bonner, Chalmers, Beasley, Delonte West, Artest, etc.
Bonner & Chalmers aren't knuckle heads....both those players play within the system they are placed in and are far more disciplined than bone head Smith, who was once described by his former Nuggets coach as a guy who can either shoot you in a game or out of one. Bonner & Chalmers are just bad players but not knuckle heads.
Delonte West i have always considered a decent player - just because he boned Lebrons mum doesn't make him a bone head.
You could make a case for Artest & Beasley though.

FG% differential, the single most important stat in basketball , with the highest correlation to winning an NBA game and highest predictive value going forward......2004 Pistons +2.2% --- 2015 Cavs +.2, Pistons better by a landslide.
The evidence speaks volumes about who's better and who isn't, but hey you watched a few games on TV and typical over-reaction to what you saw is why we can gain huge value betting sports at times.

I think that's probably exactly how much they may win. I could see the series go the distance simply because alot of players on both teams are NBA finals virgins. The finals stage may even shock some of the Warriors.......but again it's all going to depend on officiating. will the league allow their golden boy Lebron to be beaten by first timer players in Curry & Thompson? or will they allow the series to go on a natural course!
So if the Cavs win it's cuz the refs? Or is there anyway LeBron win legitimately??

No one's pointed out that JR Smith, Shumpert AND Priogioni-- all Knick cast-offs-- all went to the NBA conference finals in the same year. Perhaps there was something wrong with the Knicks, not those players. JR Smith is being used perfectly by Cleveland. And he's showing up. Would Curry have had the same year with the Knicks? Warriors are simply a better team than Cleveland. LBJ is simply the best player. But he is wearing down. Oddly he'll get nine days off for the finals.
Well that's definitely in the equation. I've always said the Jets suffer from the same team dysfunction that brings most if not all players down.
But remember, JR couldn't even control himself as an adult last year with shoelace-gate.
Teams up with Lebron? Turns into a mini-Pippen on certain nights.

to be fair, there have been many worse(in terms of reputation),more derided/criticised players than smith that have happened to land in the rite situation and grab a ring.....stephen jackson with spurs, deshawn stephenson with mavs, antoine walker with heat etc..........funny thing about smith is if he wasnt borderline retarded he has the talent to be a top 15 player in the league, maybe even better, who knows??...if he can stop being an idiot for the next few weeks(big odds against it i know),then he can turn out to be one heck of a wild-card on talent alone, sumthing the cavs are woefully short of with the roster as presently constituted and all the absences/injuries.
scalabrine, living in new york i guess you are well aware that he has always been known as a chronic pot-head??...but did you know that kyrie irving is thought of the same way??heard this from a very good source close to players tho cant verify for certain....he has that sleepy-eyed look that makes you wonder,hehehe..and of course there was that little post game "celebration" with kevin love earlier this season which appeared to show them mimicking putting a joint in the mouth or sumthing silly(which they denied of course)...also kyrie has been injury prone and never appears to get in the chiselled, sleek shape that many of the elite players do..cud be linked to a more lax attitude to training and concentration on "other things"......anyhow,totally off-topic but just chucking it out there.
kyrie has outrageous talent but this puts a ceiling on wat he can achieve obviously.
Interesting. I did not know that but it doesn't surprise me in the least. It does surprise me about Irving a bit but now that you mention the sleepy look which he does have.......

of course but the league pushes him into positions where it gives the league advantage in regards to ratings and revenues. To me Lebron is a fabricated Champion. We've seen him visibly quit & fade in games, even seen him give up potential winning shots - when was the last time we ever witnessed a legend of the game do any of that. Lebron was a mental midget for years......until he ran to Wade & Bosh.

The best team don't always win. GS will see defense played on them like they haven't seen throughout the playoff.
Golden state saw Memphis grizzlies great team defense...Memphis also had veteran players and the best 4, 5 combination in the nba with Zach and Marc Gasol......Cleveland hasn't seen great offense yet that's why their defense looks so good...Eastern conference is JV basketball and Western conference is Varsity basketball....Cleveland will get swept in the nba finals...It might get real ugly...They may lose by 15 points in every game.

Riding down the highway on a fourwheeler with two shotguns around your chest though does make you a knuckle head. And the first two were contradicting the Delly comment

I've never seen him quit but he did use to be very fragile in big moments mentally. I think the experience in Miami allowed him to grow up. To me it seems like everyone loves to point out every flaw or bad decision Lebron makes but no one says a word with anyone else. I've watched Kobe for years take awful shots where hes double teamed instead of passing to an open teammate. I consider that fading when it counts as well. Kevin Durant is supposedly the "2nd best" but he never has critics and he even plays with arguably the 3rd best in the league. Chris Paul is this "all time great point guard" but year after year he cant make even the conference finals even up 3-1 to the one man show Rockets. Lebron's the best and that happens to come with critics like yourself.

This wins post of the thread award. Golden state is a very special team and it's amazing that people on here still don't recognize that. Someone even said that they are not ready this year....you sure ? How many regular season scoring records and games in the playoffs do they have to dominate to prove they are an extremely good team? I haven't checked site order but I am not sure the cavs will be able to push that series 7 games.

we're talking about what players do on the bball court and how they conduct themselves. Considering he is bipolar he has been very tame & disciplined on the court. I give him alot of credit for that.
