If I here one more comment about the NBA wanting Curry or anyone in the playoffs

What about the NBA sending referee Scott Foster to make sure Curry and the Warriors get in the playoffs? I believed that one too.  Not sure why I believed a top 5 fade on covers. It sounded good I guess. It won’t ever happen again I promise you that. The angles people come up with are amazing. They don’t even cap anymore. Just make shiiiiiit up and post it on covers. Someone will believe you.

I do cap my own games. You know that bro. I had Grizz covering the 5 but ended up on GS ML. However a lot of this crap got in my head. I’m not here to blame anyone. the refs did ruin the game in a sense.... had memphis bigs in foul trouble the entire game which heavily helped warriors small ball style....the calls on JV were hilarious

morant played the game of his life and won it for memphis....without that it was the warriors moving on.....

it was pretty obvious what was happening.....

congrats to memphis backers....they got lucky morant was on fire....always half luck/half being good

This is 100% correct. Refs gave a flat Warriors team an opening by keeping JV in foul trouble but the hot shooting of Morant won the day. Had the Warriors won at the end of regulation or OT, everyone would be talking about that bogus call that gave Poole 3 free throws at the end of the game. That was a terrible call that should have gotten the Warriors over the hump, but because they lost nobody remembers it.

If you'll allow me to brag, I posted an in depth writeup showing how the underdog Grizzlies were better in basically every important stat.

I'll bump it, since I think literally one person said they appreciated it and we were probably the only 2 on Memphis.

Obviously Morant is the main reason they won. We can say that about any star player in almost every other game. Just like Curry would most likely have been the reason Warriors would have. NutinButtLuv still makes a valid point. The Grizz did win the offensive boards so the numbers do matter. Grizz also won the turnover battle, another key stat since they are #1 in steals. They also capitalized off those turnovers. Great team effort. They were the better team last night. I normally follow these kind of stats and steered in a different direction overly impressed by the Warriors game vs Lakers when in reality the Lakers just played like shit.

Warriors, I believe, were 29-1 before last night when Green gets a triple double. Now they are 29-2. That stat right there tells you Warriors win that game 90% of the time. Morant just had an amazing game, and they hit two huge clutch 3s in OT. Otherwise, Warriors win this one by 4-5 points.

heard a lot of people blaming wiggins for the loss. he was shot about the same % as curry with 6 less shots.  curry 7 turnovers, green 6 turnovers wiggins 2 turnovers. once again stats mean something. memp had the edge in turnover margin. g st finished with 21 Memphis 15. margin of victory was 4 so yes id say turnovers had a big deal in deciding the outcome, not the refs or anything else

 We can’t go around predicting triple dubz bb. Turnovers and offensive rebounds is where Memphis won the battle. Morant wins the game for them 50 percent of the time or more possibly. Had Valanciunas not gotten in foul trouble Warriors get out rebounded by a larger margin and lose this game in regulation. This Memphis team just can’t seem to hold leads for some reason but came through this time.

 agree with the numbers....but morant usually doesnt have amazing games like that, typically he is a pretty crap shooter and scores 15-22 a game

and in this game he went off which ended up being the difference....

but yes those other numbers factor in for sure

Ok I get that. Even though I lost to GS I kinda like the young star Morant and the Grizzlies under the spotlight. They probably won’t go too far but they’re a more complete team and should be fun to watch. We all know GS could’ve only gotten as far as Curry takes them and he’d have to drill 10 three pointers a game to even come close to beating top tier teams in this league. That’s not something I wanna watch honestly.
