if youre going the "insanely talented,multi-millionnaire mogul with millions of adoring fans" route then no its not easy to feel sorry for james....but you also dont see that the guy equally catches an astonishing amount of disproportionate flak for really wat amounts to a cupple of poor errors in judgement here and there??(which,by the way,he has admitted to and remains culpable for)...i mean, shiiit, this guy is still getting dragged over the proverbial coals for behaviour un-becoming(but certainly not sinister or overtly harmful to anyone) from 5 fu.king years ago!!!!........bitter,petty,small-minded individuals just will not let shiit go.

one hopes that his detractors live by the same mistake-free standards of absolute perfection that they hold lebron to.....

yea,rite.........bunch of ignorant,racist,thieving,philandering,hypocritical,lo-lifes probably makes up the majority of the critics if the general sampling of average humanity ive witnessed is anything to go by.

He chose (due to naivety, arrogance, youth, etc.) to be recognized as the "bad guy", from Day One.  I could list a few of those examples if you'd like to hear them, I'm pretty sure you're aware of a lot of them, already.

Look at Tom Thibodeau, for example.  There were rumblings from Chicago's front office that it didn't matter if the Bulls beat Cleveland and won the NBA Finals this year, Tom was going to be out.  What could have made such an adverse reaction from management?  RELATIONS.  His bosses didn't feel a warm and friendly vibe towards them from Thibodeau, he didn't keep them in the loop; seemingly giving them the "cold shoulder" when it came to on-the-court actions (maybe not listening to management on how to deal with D.Rose?).  Now he's out, just like that.  Same with Jimmy Johnson with the Dallas Cowboys, same with Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers.

That Tom Thibodeau example rings *especially* true with LBJ, considering his "judges" on whether he's the G.O.A.T. of the NBA are us, the people.  And it's not all about rings.  Bill Russell won 11 rings with the Boston Celtics, why isn't he considered the G.O.A.T.?  RELATIONS with the Boston Celtics organization and city, as he left on bad terms.  Public perception can make or break you, sometimes...

I kinda feel bad for LBJ.  And...I kinda don't, at the same time.  Whatever he gets, however he's perceived...that's what he deserves.  Good or bad, his perception is to the people is/was/will be brought upon by his actions.

from day one??wat does this mean??...for the first 7 or so years of his career he was easily one of the most universally popular, well liked players in the league....just how does one "choose" to be the bad guy??

    Melos,

The guy is among the richest athletes to ever live, if not one of the richest men in the history of the world to ever live.

He is quite shielded from virtually defamation anyone wants to direct towards him because he does what all mega-millionaires do...surround himself with enablers and yes men.

Now let's talk about the adulation he receives.

EVERYONE in the NBA wants to play with him (although hyperbole, JR Smith said he would walk to Cleveland to play with him).

EVERYONE thinks he's the best in the world.

EVERYONE is coming around to considering him one of, if not the best of all time.

He is making unfathomable amounts of money and those revenue streams appear to be .... just beginning.

NO ONE should feel sorry for LBJ nor does he need anyone to come to his defense. He could buy the Pentagon for defense if need be if that were his desire.

He could buy the Pentagon for defense if need be if that were his desire.

you must be kidding about being one of the richest men of all time surely...especially with the adjusted value of the dollar, which wud amount to little more than that of a pebble found on the ground currently..........like chris rock says-"black men/athletes are rich, the owners of the teams and leagues are WEALTHY".....theres significant difference and theres plenty and plenty of wrinkly old white guys all over the world that cud buy and sell lebron a thousand times over.
but of course he is comfortably sorted financially and no-one will cry him a river.

you cud be rite,he may well be insulated from any criticism...im not sure...but all thru social media there is an absolute shiiit-load of it...listening to it all you wud actually think that he is barely an average player in this league, let alone one of the 5 best thats ever lived as sum pundits suggest.

so yea, maybe no-one shud feel sorry for him personally...but that dont stop me from arguing against baseless, irrational stupidity blaming him for things not entirely of his own doing and wildly blowing things about of proportion any time the dude farts out of place or mis-pronounces a word....or watever heinous thing the critics consider to be his latest sin.

and dont mis-understand...i am NOT an ardent lebron fan...amongst a list of my favourite players in the league he wud sit outside my top 10 i wud say
