In the end, aren't all gamblers just losers?

Take a look at the forum tonight. The ratio of negative threads far outweighs the positive ones. And that happens about 5 out of 7 nights out of the week. What&#x27;s the point of all of this? Personally, I took the weekend off and looks like I&#x27;m glad I did. But if you really think about this...what is the ultimate goal of gambling? A high? Short lived money? A fantasy to sit on your ass for a living to make money? Or is it just a hobby you can afford to have?

Of course you&#x27;re going to see more losers than winners on a gambling forum. The majority of gamblers lose in the long run. Everyone has good runs, but eventually you get to the point (and we&#x27;ve all been there) where you couldn&#x27;t pick a play if your life depended on it. And if are lucky enough to make money every season (I say season because it&#x27;s just not possible to bet everyday and make money everyday) just know you are the exception.

The Hawks have been putting up a fight this season, posting 36 wins and 29 losses so far in the schedule. Over is 7-1 in Nuggets last 8 road games.

Under is 6-1 in Bulls last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Bulls are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.

Bulls just don't have the offensive abilities to match-up with great Denver offense. Chicago has not beat a top level offense this season and even great Bulls defense can't keep this one close. Final Score Prediction, Nuggets win easy 105-92, nice ATS winner as Denver extends win streak to 12 games.

If gambling is your hobby, you get a lot of enjoyment out of it, and you have the chance to win. And it is not even an expensive hobby for a lot of people. If you gamble just for the satisfaction of being smarter than the books, then you can bet $1 a game just to keep score.

If gambling is how you want to make a living, then it no longer becomes entertainment and turns into a grind. You can't chase, you can't bet on a whim, you can study the odds all day for a week and not find a game to bet, etc. You have to watch the line movements which is a grind as well.

If gambling is an addiction, then it is just as harmful as any other addiction. Covers probably attracts a disproportionate amount of these people.

In the end, aren't all gamblers just losers?
