So, I've been betting on Bovada, some of the "live" betting etc. Three times now they have cancelled my winning bet as a "no contest" claiming they "left the line up to long", or there was an "error" in the "line being left up to long"? Is this a bunch of B.S. or what? Is there a better more trustworthy betting site? Need some advice or something. Thanks

never had that problem with Bovada. However yesterday I kept getting "oops something is wrong" and wouldnt let me bet. Outage and everything. It was very annoying I didnt get to bet on the Suns live. I was previously using BetOnline who is the best I think.

Yes, yesterday, I kept getting the "oops" thing, and I placed a parlay bet for 3 "over" NBA games, and today it shows that I placed all 3 for "under" ..... something weird going on. I might try 5 Dimes, is everyone here using the Bitcoin thing?

i have learned those guys love too scam it's ONLY cancelled the THEY lose, they cancelled a few of my live bets when i was gonna get paid out, i really would't count on bovada as a main site, they are my play around site, because if you win too much they will start changing the lines and limit you, my buddy uses bovada and we were looking at the lines together and we had different lines, but if you are a square and blindly bet the favorites they will love you

You are so right, I spoke to them numerous times asking why the have only cancelled the "bets I win", why have none of the "losses" ever been cancelled, very very shady system they have going on, and it seems they are allowed to do whatever they want because all players blindly agree to the "user terms", so they have an easy out with scams

Aside from being a little glitchy the past couple weeks Bovada has always been pretty decent.. forgot why I switched from 5dimes. I've had a couple live bets cancelled but the few times it happened the line was a little questionable. I'm really not trying to be a d!ck but did you know the line was too good when you placed the bet? Was there a major action in the game that the odds didnt reflect?
Regarding the over/under issue, were you on the mobile? I think it was a btc book but I feel like I had a similar issue happen once or twice on the phone. Sorry it happened, I hope you didnt lose too much brother.

Hey there, first off, my buddy suggested Bovada years ago, but over the last few months I've gotten back into betting, so I went back to the one I already had an account created from years ago. Never thought I would have bets cancelled, or that a line could even be "left up in error". I just figured the site would eat their cost if it was their error. And yes, I was watching closely to live game lines, and placing bets with under 4 mins left in live games, that is how the $600 bet got cancelled, but nothing seemed "to good to be true", the teams just didn't score much in the last 4 mins, but even if they made a "line error", sure sucks when it cost me a $600 win on an already wayyyyy down day, didn't seem fair or legit. Sure be nice if they cancel one of my "losses" ..... haha, never, right? I'm just looking for a better option, I keep reading many shady stories on Bovada, so any advice you have ..... I'll take it, and thanks everyone!!!

As with most books they are simply a square books. If you are a losing proposition to them (if you are a long term winning bettor or if you manage to capitalize on certain markets long term and win) they will limit you then shut your account. If you are good with live betting and if you are a winning bettor, play only at sharp books....they won't give you nonsensical excuse to cancel bet after you win. There aren't many sharp books out there. You can read about sharp books and square books here
For most bettors, it doesn't matter where they play because they lose long term. For them all that matters is good bonuses and other perks where books/casinos hand out to keep the long term losing bettors coming back.

If I'm looking to make a large wager on a ML fav I usually check 5dimes first but for me Ive (almost) always gotten better odds on my dogs at Bovada. Sometimes I can get the hook on a dog through Bovada for almost the same odds as the straight wager through 5D.
The question of whether they would cancel the bet if it was a loss was the same one I asked when it happened to me, but usually if the line is bad I would imagine all of the bets come in on one side.
It sucks but Ive never met a bookie or sportsbook that pays out mistakes. Btc payouts are almost always prompt and the couple times I had checks cut they came quicker than I expected and I had no issues cashing them. If you guys find a book that eats their costs when they put up a bad line lmk

I have Bookmaker and Bovada. Never had an issue with Bookmaker but I've had issues with Bovada in the past. The only reason I've stayed with Bovada is now they allow Bitcoin withdrawals. Before they would take over 30 days to payout. There is no such thing as a line being up to long. If the bet is accepted they should pay plain and simple.
If I was you I would call them and tell them that if they don't pay you the money you will go on social media and spread the negative news about them. Tell them you have over 100K Followers on Twitter and Instagram and that you have a huge following on Sports websites. Then maybe they will see the light. Good luck and be careful.

yea i had this issue a couple of times. i called them and they talked down to me when i told them that they should pay out. If they leave the line up too long it doesn't really matter very much anyway and that is on them not the customer.
Bovada is ok not horrible. They pay when I win. My biggest complaint is the lines come out too late and the prices aren't as good. I do like their bonuses though. I have been giving more of my action to other books lately.

Yes the exact same thing happened to me. I made a quarter bet during live betting one time and, it was a winner, and they credited my account. However, a few minutes later it was cancelled as a "line error". The next day I noticed they started heavily juicing my lines on games I was betting during live betting. The game I was betting on had -315 juice for the over during a live in game quarter bet, and I am not making that up. Also, the last straw for me was when they limited my betting to $60 after I won around 5k in a short time. I stopped using Bovada after that. Bovada is not a "winners" site. If you win consistent money there, I guarantee they will limit you. I did research online after they limited me, and you can see many others that had this happen. Bovada is a "recreational book", its not meant for Professionals or long term winners.

it will be interesting to see when USA allows gambling what happens to these sites like Bovada, I'd imagine they either get supported by the government to get a lil streamlined and make more money or get wiped out and replaced by consolidated American ventures
All Out

Straight, you're right on target: Bovada, and the other phoney sites that are just like it, will be wiped out sooner than later.

If you guys didn't stiff your local's you don't have these issue's. Both my local's have excellent sites and not one problem in live betting or getting paid. Why anyone would use an offsite book is beyond me?
