Was listening to the Bill Summon’s podcast. He thinks game 6 will be a throw away game. Games are coming fast and furious now. Game 6 Thursday and game 7 Saturday. Durant just played the entire game and carried the team. Harden almost played the entire game as well. If they go all in on game 6 and lose they are really putting themselves in a bad spot for game 7. Simmons thinks Nash will tell the team not to try too hard. Jack up 50 3’s and if we hit 24 then maybe we get lucky and win. He thinks Durant will play about 20 minutes and Harden one quarter. Meanwhile, they will save themselves for game 7. Interesting. Wonder what Nash will decide.

No. Step on Milwaukee's neck. Yeah Bklyn doesn't need it, but Milwaukee should've won Game 5. Bklyn wants this over. I'm not even concerned about minutes. It's the playoffs. Harden just played 46 at about 60%, and did pretty much nothing (presence meant something). Another performance like that from KD is unlikely (Giannis says he wants to check him, personally that's food for Durant) but the "others" can't play any worse.
Bklyn taking the series.

mmmm, honestly though you never wanna "give away" a playoff game cos they are all important this sounds like a good strategy play....odds are against them winning on the road in a game the bucks will be desperate in and we all saw that harden was playing well within himself today.might even be worth sitting him again if it would make any difference to him to get an extra 4 days of rehab done on him.....just play alot of the lesser guys and hope for the best.maybe they do get hot and bucks underestimate them, specially if durant doesnt play a whole lot...but yeah given that bucks are deeper and healthier they are the team better equipped to go to war for 2 tough games within such a timespan....whilst the nets might just sit back and save all the bullets in the chamber for a home game 7,always traditionally a great spot

I disagree Bucks are the deeper team. Harden can't be worse than he was tonight. Don't expect him to have a huge jump next game but will not be as rusty (couldn't hit a jumpshot, no feel). Don't see Bucks winning 2.

As far as Bklyn winning on the road against a desperate Bucks team.. Bucks aren't the squad you'd take when their backs are against the wall. They aren't built like that.

10 minutes each quarter in the first half. If game is out of hand by second half then why play him? Anyway, it’s interesting.

well,i mean once you remove kyrie and dinwiddie and you have a very limited, gimpy harden and other guys all have to shuffle up in the rotation then for sure bucks have better depth.you dont agree in this particular circumstance?
and i agree completely,it will be damn hard for bucks to take 2 but by far their better chance is at home..by a wide margin.if they (brooklyn) go all out balls to the wall what chance do you give nets of winning the next one??i dont give them no chance but its not great in terms of %......look at the facts here, they barely squeeked out a win AT HOME after getting in a pretty deep hole early and durant had to have an epic performance, jeff green went off and we now know we will not be getting anywhere near "full" harden...PLUS as always the calls will likely go the way of the home team and bucks are less likely to gag away a big lead at home if they can gain one.
now taking all that into account how much do you really like brooklyn to steal this next one?
its an interesting discussion...as i say,i hate to ever concede and give away a playoff game, its just not sumthin you wanna consider most of the time..but maybe the "live to fight another day" gambit is the best option in this spot.

You make great points and this strategy has to be on the table if things go south fast in Milwaukee.

I think you have to play it by quarter. The Bucks threw the kitchen sink in this game also, not sure how much they have left in the tank after this excruciating loss.
Play with max effort the first quarter. If you’re up 4-6 points. Take it front there.
if you’re down double digits, it may be time to wave the white flag.

Agree with the whole "have to see how it plays out in the first 16-20 mins or so". Highly doubt Bklyn folds early, counting on the game 7 W.
@melossinglet
Down by 17 with 4 in the 3rd.. If you're Milwaukee you can't let Bklyn win that game. So I wouldn't use the term "squeaked by". Bklyn (KD) took it and Bucks had no answer.

Throw away, give away, makes no difference. This is the NBA playoffs where as you don't give anything away...you take (the series winner goes to the Eastern Finals) not the regular season ending draft-positioning 'give one to the Gipper' BS

again i agree that milwaukee played a part in letting the game slip as much as brooklyn turned it with their own play...but the facts remain they only won by 6 points and the games result was in doubt until the final 30 seconds of the game..by any metric they "squeaked" by....can we count on 48 minutes and nearly 50 points from durant again, plus favourable calls from refs in the next game??cos if not what is gonna make up the deficit that that creates?along with some sort of expectation that bucks are charged up and fueled by the crowd to do whatever needed to avoid going home.
as long as you got unproven or low iq finisher like giannis/jrue/middleton leading the way you always got a chance of blowing the game if its close so i dont say that nets have zero chance.....but its a tough spot.almost every time that a quality team has desperately needed a win in this post season they have come through...in an even matchup like this it is just common sense that its advantage home team.

Good points. I'm not wagering on game 6 as I have Bklyn futures everywhere. As far as them squeaking by.. Bklyn shouldn't have even been in the position they were ultimately in. Demoralizing loss for the Bucks. Of course they could win game 6. I believe Bklyn is feeling very good and can't see the Bucks jumping on them like they did last night.

Why are people looking at only minutes played for Brooklyn?
Giannis and Middleton both played 42+
Giannis just played 45 so both teams will be fatigued heading into game 6. Really comes down to whether or not Harden rests. If he rests, I have no idea how Nets win without a dominant ball handler and facilitator. As poor as what Harden was, he only had 4 turnover but dished out 8 assists so good luck getting that from Shamet or Brown.

Bucks "others" played pretty much as good as they can. Bklyns "others"? Only 3 players total showed up for Bklyn. Bucks can def win game 6, can't see them winning 2.

Geez, what a load of bullshit. I thought teams should fight for every game but someone outside the NBA think that a team should throw a game away? No, win while you can.

@begginerboy Your Title should’ve been mentioned for Game #5 for Milwaukee they were dominating & leading for 1/2 of the game then WTF happened? That was a throw away game I’ve seen this scenario before how embarrassing …… what the Buck

When Coach Bud coaches game 6 there usually is no game 7.. Coach Bud has coached 6 game 6s prior to tomorrow's game..Only 1 of those series went to game 7 .. 5 out of 6 times, the team up 3-2 won game 6.

I'm from Milwaukee and I have Brooklyn futures to win this series and the East. The game 5 win by Brooklyn as a dog reminds me of 2019 when Toronto won gm 4 at home as a dog vs Milwaukee in ECF and then went to Milwaukee as a +7.5 pt dog and won gm 5 su. Reggie Miller and his thesis of throwing away gm 6, along w this thread is sowing the seed in many minds that Brooklyn will throw away gm 6. The refs were on the side of the home team in games 4 and 5 especially. I think the way for the most money to be taken out of bettors pockets will be with a gm 6 win su by Brooklyn. The history books will read that KD saved the series and season for Brooklyn in gm 5. Much has been made that Brooklyn is winless in Milwaukee this season. If I have my facts straight, James Harden didnt play in any of those games. He was definitely rusty in gm 5 and I look for a bigger game from him in gm 6. Like everyone else, I dont think the story-book ending for Brooklyn is done. It appears its going to be Philly vs Brooklyn....and Utah vs Phoenix. I have also surmised that a greater agenda is tied to NYC opening up. The NHL NY Islanders have made the Stanley Cup semi-finals...I think the NBA Brooklyn does the same(no surprise). The NHL Isles are the lower seed in their semi-final and I see NBA Brooklyn being the same, although I would LOVE to see Atlanta upset Philly and get to the ECF, much in the way Atlanta got to the NLCS before bowing out to the LADodgers.
