I hate LeBron, but that's just me. Anyways, seems like Lakers don't mind facing Nuggets and actually are embracing it. I have this weird feeling they knock out Denver. Them winning that in season tourney, the whole ref thing last few games appears to me they are on a path that goes at least thru Nuggs if not to the West Finals. As much as that Lakers/Warriors ML +225 bet just didn't make sense to me last night, Lakers winning to face Denver then losing the series just doesn't make sense to me either.
So, at +250 series is that a bad bet? Thanks for the help my good Covers colleagues.

Aging Lakers and The Mile High City just doesn't match. Denver is one of the hardest places to play in any sport unless your accustomed to the elevation there. James, Russell, AD idk maybe they steal one game but that's it

It's not a bad bet. Denver is being overestimated as some sort of dynasty machine. They have looked vulnerable because Jamal Murray doesn't look unstoppable like he did last season. They go as far as he goes when it comes to winning... even though Jokic gets all the credit.

You are dreaming. Lakers are worse than last year when Denver swept them. There is a reason Nuggets have beaten this team 8 straight times dating back to last playoffs. They do not match up well with Denver at all. Nuggs are arguably deeper than last year with Braun and Watson being so explosive off the bench. You should look at the odds for a Denver sweep. If odds are better take that. Taking Lakers to win the series is just throwing your money away.
Lakers beating Denver is more of a media pipe dream than a reality.

That stupid in season tournament means fk all man. Denver is not going out in the first round to the Lakers. They have way more talent overall and especially at the guards where the Lakers have guys like D-lo who has never done anything in the league other than snitch on his teammate and try to be a fashionista.
Lakers are a lot more similar to the Warriors than they are Denver or OKC or the top west teams and like the Dubs will be back home soon. They'll win a couple home games that's it.
Forget about if it's a bad bet, it's bad value. I would happily give anyone +350 or +400 for the Lakers and that's more like what the true odds should be IMO 3 to 1 or 4 to 1. But a)bookies are greedy and even when they juice the hell out of the fav they don't give you mirror odds on the plus money dog and b) lots of people think they have a chance because of Lebron and a meaningless made up midseason non championship.

Anything's possible the way Lakers play. I got a measly $100 future on them at +1850 shortly after they won the in season tourney. I read Lebron is a champ the last 3 leap years. Can it be 4 after this year? Lol I'm not putting any more money into it that's for sure.
It's all probabilities

Definitely have some solid points as I believe Boston and Denver are the teams to beat. Losing Bruce Brown is worth noting as a loss but it will be fun to watch. Wager is posting a good question. It’s like do or die for LB so this year or no year?!! Take care all.

Yeah. Bruce Brown played well for the Nuggs last playoffs. However, I think Braun's increased role and Watson combined can give the Nuggs even more than what Brown did. I think Nuggs are deeper, younger, and more explosive off the bench this year. Lakers losing Schroeder will hurt them big time. Vanderbilt sucks on offense but he was pretty good defensively last season, and he is out too. Lakers do not have any depth and D Lo is so inconsistent against nuggs, I do not think this series is close. I think Nuggs win this series easier than they did last Spring.

Something to think about... instead of betting to win series Maybe bet Lal to win west or win it all.

Yup.... +250 is no where near what I would need to take a stab at the Lakeshow...still just burning money.

First off the series price should be or NEED to be at +300 for this bet to even make any type of sense, because for the Lakers to win this series it means they need to win one in Denver which the books have them at +256 for game one.
Nuggets will be favs every single game in this series unless a big injury take place and we all for sure do not bet on a hopeful injury. So is this a bad BET? To answer your topic question, the answer is YES, SUPER bad BET!! The lakers can steal one in Denver and still lose this series!!!!!
