Is Tor -2 1/2 a trap?

Yea we know Pistons suck but they have been competitive at home and Tor has stunk all year plus no Lowry makes this line very fishy to me?

I just have to comment on this and the other stupid threads on here. Vegas tryien to trick you, line is a trap! ETC! Really? When are you rubes gonna get with the program? Vegas doesn't try to trick anyone, they set the line to get even action on both sides, why, so they don't lose! Hello! Do they make mistakes, hell yes! that is where good handicapping comes in!

So you really think the books don't want a certain side to win in most games? 

You REALLY think they want raptors to cover tonight!? If Majority of the money comes in on raptors you better believe they will be rooting for the pistons.Detroit has won 3 out of their last 4 and have been playing well. Add no Kyle Lowry and a possible Monroe back for detroit and yes this could be a very real trap for all the raptors backers.

All I'm saying is they post lines to get action on both sides, they make money on the juice!

I keep gonna back and forth on this. This is either Tor -2 or no play. Way too risky taking a crappy Det team even with the pts and at home. Is this hot start merely a mirage or a sustained drive into next year?

You shouldnt be allowed to bet.

Do you think, if majority of money would come in on Raps -2.5 then they wouldnt change that damned line something like Raps -4.0??? Seriously?

For those suggesting books simply want 50-50 action on both sides, do you think they do not have an opinion? If books tried to get 50-50 on EVERY single game they wouldn't profit as much as putting out a line that they know will get slightly more action than other side w/mindset that their side could very well cover. It's a business like any other business. More money is better. A line is made , then the books either put that line out at lower limits let it get bet into, adjust it and then raise limits at a more accurate line or they have an opinion on a game and open a game at a true accurate or inflated line. It is impossible to get 50-50 on every game everyday. Majority of time , yes, they want 50-50 but most sharp books have opinions in their opening lines.

Nah you don't know them. If they move the line to much they risk people getting middles.

I agree , no Lowry no bet.

As far as books and lines go , books always pushing a side onto the bettor , just look at horse racing for example? For instance last night .. Houston got pounded and the line went up n up with them and they couldn't get people off the rockets .. they delivered the points and vegas made a mistake. Tonight the trap to me it seems is Lakers/OKC .. OKC is a huge consensus bet but there not moving the line up as they did with Houston, there moving it against OKC and wanting you to believe the money is coming for them and the right play is to play them , yes its only moved half point but if it goes below the 10 line , they sure want laker money! I my opinion all this of course as im not a bookie but here in England I know a few friends who are bookmakers and this is there philosophy when making and creating line .. and also brainwashing you into the wrong side , but this England and you guys are set by Vegas , best linemakers in the world.

Bol if you play Toronto guys!

Odssmakers don't care about who wins what not. They set sharp line and people will be more wrong than right. It's law of gambling! Besides, they clean up on juice! STRAIGHT CASH HOMIE!

Only thing oddsmakers are worried about is giving you VALUE! Being off with lines. Which usually are very sharp. so...
