Line going down... WOW ! AS a nets future bettor I have hope...
You think he is effective if he tries to play? Just something to consider. Hamstrings are tricky, I would not count on him being anywhere near 100%, even if he gives it a go. Hopefully not an Anthony Davis situation like when he tried to play through a tricky injury.

Keep in mind, he will play gimpy and in doubt of his own health...as an athlete thats a huge negative psychological angle...will he be effective? Who knows, did Embiid look any good in the 2H yesterday? Some will say he was such a liability that he was the main reason 76ers lost...and wtf was he doing on that game winning layup miss? Ask yourself why didnt he just dunk that? Because hes hurt.
You cannot trust Harden to play up to everyones expectations...if anything, Nets will likely walk the ball up a lot and play at a slower pace to not make Harden overexert himself...is the under the better play?
Ask yourself this question? Why is the media consistently leaking Harden's status? Its not for the public to have the info...its just to give sports talk radio, tv, social media etc to have something to talk about today on a very slow news worthy day.
Cap this game as if Harden is not playing, to avoid him going out early in the 1Q like Street Clothes Davis did

I only recall one player playing on a bad hammy and it was Chris Paul. He got hurt in the first quarter of game 7 against the Spurs and played through the pain. Considering the circumstances, it was one of his greatest games. Then he took 2 games off against Harden and the Rockets before coming back for game 3, I believe. The Clippers went up 3-1 with a gimpy Paul. So it can be done. Both Paul and Harden are equally valuable for their minds and basketball iq as their games, so I don’t think you can really compare this to the Embid situation. These guys can win games with their heads. Embid can’t.

I think it’s positive,” Nets forward Joe Harris said of Harden being upgraded. “I don’t think they would throw that out there if his health was still in question. That’s the biggest thing at the end of the day that guys are healthy.
“You don’t ever want to put anybody in a compromised position because the worst thing that could happen is come back to early and then you start back over from where you were at in the beginning.”

I seem to recall CP3 also suffering from a hamstring injury in WCF with Houston versus the Rockets in 2018, and was unable to play through the pain and missed game 7, a series they lost due to his absence. Hamstrings are too hard to predict.

Hamstrings are tricky, he could easily reinjury it and have to start all over with recovery time.
Not worth the risk, and he could reinjury it at anytime in the game, could be the 1st quarter and he could have no impact on the game then have to start all over with rest.

Versus the Warriors I meant.

bunch of covers doctors in here ....
this isn’t a must win scenario for Brooklyn , play james and he gets hurt again they are screwed . Hold out one more game and get him additional rest until Thursday the 17th in a must win in milwaukee

Harden's game doesn't rely on being super athletic. It might affect his shooting and in the post, but it won't affect his playmaking, controlling the pace, and making his teammates better... which is what the Nets need..

No doubt. CP3's game doesn't rely on athleticism either, and he couldn't go in game 7 of WCF versus Warriors with a hamstring injury. I don't think "athleticism" has anything to do with a hammy injury. You can't run or move. I mean he played for less than a minute and didn't do anything athletic in game 2 before being done for the game. I actually doubt he even plays. He is still doubtful, despite trying to play.

Did you read my post. CP3 played with a bad hammy in several playoff games for the Clippers. It depends on the extent of the injury. The one against GS was probably much worse.
