Once again another fantastic season in the NBA...started out with my initial investment of $2,000 and ended up making a 74% profit over the length of the season. Never had a single day where my bankroll was less than $2,000...although it was close there for a few weeks. Haters come and haters go, but as usual I proved that consistency is the key...and if you stick to a set system and pay attention to certain things you can be highly successful at this.
Some of you may also have noticed that I have been absent for the past week. I was busy with work, and also had no desire to lay money down on games where it was very difficult to predict who would come out with urgency, and who was looking forward to their summer vacation. Sometimes a break is exactly what we need!

In the Paul Pierce/Kevin Garnett/Rajon Rondo/Doc Rivers era (basically the last 6 years) the first game of their playoff season has gone UNDER the total in regulation. The first game against the Bulls went into OT and ended up going over. Not only that, but they have gone significantly under the total most years. Tough to call the line in this game as the emotional aspects are through the roof. Knicks winning their first division title in 20 years and going after their first playoff game win in a while, first series win in a longer while. Celtics have the support of New England and the extra motivation behind the events of this past week. I don't think that would affect a younger team that much, but the veteran Celtics will know how much it means to the city. Too many emotional factors to figure out who will win the game.
Celtics know that defense is their backbone. They have the incredible ability to get inside Carmelo Anthony's head. They are well rested as Doc has executed his typical end of the year practice session so that the key players are in good health. Knicks have also been known to choke under pressure...and if they do it's going to be on the offensive end.
PREDICTION: CELTICS 93 KNICKS 90

Celtics vs. Knicks UNDER 189.5 (1.1 to win 1)

No play here for me. Capped this one out to be Nuggets -8 and total at 214. I want to see how the young Warriors handle the playoff pressure...and even the young Nuggets as well. George Karl has been in this situation many times before, but not many of the players have been. Without Faried as well means that they had better be shooting the ball well...Warriors have some big guys down low that can grab most rebounds.

With that prediction, why would you take the under over the Celtics +7? Your prediction has a 6.5 point difference between the total and a 10 point difference the spread.

First season in their new arena...and a trip to the playoffs. Expectations may have been a little bit higher overall, but still a 49 win season is nothing to laugh at. A lot of support for the Bulls, but I have strongly been opposed to them. Their defense is great, but I don't like this team in crunch time. I think this one goes pretty much to the limit, with the home team winning each game. Teams are well matched and play a similar style...but I like the emotion for the Nets tonight. BTW, followed you all year. you're a fantastic capper. you stretch my thinking on games. thanks for all your work. i took the bulls with the points in game one. sorta wished i'd waited. i get over amped and have to bet the first day. what i've learned and not followed through on-- sitting out first games of series gives you insight into the next game. alas, no noah. all games between bulls-nets decided by four or less-- with one outlyer bulls by 11. fingers crossed. good luck! 74 percent is better than the market.

The last few weeks of the season, when you disappeared.. I struggled and barely broke even. Seeing you're name at the top of the thread list this morning for the playoffs brought quite the smile to my face. You're great at what you do. Thanks CM!
