Knicks @ Raptors 2/22/13

Really liking this game. I have been all over the raptors these past 3 weeks. They have been money. The market is under valuing them consistently (except for the memphis game, there is no way getting +1 is enough against a championship calibur squad like the grizz). I seriously feel like the oddsmakers are stuck in the the past with this team only having 1 winning season in past decade. They are such a different team with gay. They are playing great, great defense.

On the other hand the knicks are at the exact opposite end of the spectrum. Oddsmakers continue to overvalue this team that hasnt covered in 3 weeks. I am a knicks fan and trust me I dont like betting against my own team but this team is not for real. Melo is for real but when he sucks this team really struggles. Yes, melo can win it by himself as he has shown but I think raptors supporting cast is much better right now. They are playing with energy because they have never been good. Knicks are just in a slump. They got comfortable being good and are in a midseason lull. I see these teams in opposite directions right now.

and let me clarify, this is not so much a fade on the knicks (although I do think now is the time to do so) rather a play on a raptors squad that just looks hungry and good. 

The rebounding differential in the first game was enormously in favor of the knicks and they still lost. 

And I really dont buy into any of the notions of "knicks coming off embarassing loss and are going to go nuts in this game."...they look lazy to me and dont look good on offense. I rather bet on streaks, not bounce backs after terrible losses.

knicks dont score in the paint. they shoot mid range jumpers all the time and seem to take a million 3's yet they dont have any consistent 3 point shooters.

Happy is good, but the raptors have been money as as DOGS all year. I'm all over the raps here.

me too zander. knicks have proven melo can shoot 40+ and still lose. thats what kind of team this is. Raptors are solidddd right now with rudy. and again im thinkiung the same as you; if Rudy matches anthony then raptors supporting cast is better than knicks

Yep and its not just Rudy, its having Rudy and Derozan on the floor at the same time with Lowery pushing the pace at PG.

Good write. My Raps burned me on Wendesday, thought they would have come harder than that. Hope they handle business tonight, especially if the newest Raptor, Telfair suits up. Raptors reverse line -2.5 and moneyline here like I did against the Wizards. BOL

I like ny...last game against raps they couldn't hit a shot and still should have beat raptors. After Indy game I think they make a few today..

I would agree if the knicks were a good team but they just are not right now and are on the road again. 

DaReel - you said knicks couldnt hit a shot last game and still won. Raptors didnt hit a shot either. melo went 5-24 and rudy went 4-21. The knicks defense is not what it was.

You guys, the Knicks are had a "rough stretch", it's a long season!!!   They are still in 2nd place in the East and it's not a fluke that they put themselves in that position.  You cannot write off a team after a couple ugly losses, lots of teams go through these stretches. 

KNICKS will bounce back

Bluejay - i couldnt agree with you more. the knicks WILL bounce back but whos to say when. The raptors are really hot. the knicks are really cold. the knicks have not shown anything that tells me their bounceback is going to be on the 2nd game of this road trip vs a hot team. every team does go through rough stretches and the knicks will make a playoff run this year. but right now they are ice cold on O and their d isnt tight- both opposites for the raptors during their current stretch where on d they held their last 3 opp to 88 points....

locked it in. i am also drinking the juice and taking denver. im not sold on washington at all and gallinari's quote about how they are looking forward to this game has me sold. Im going to take them moneyline and parlay it with butler moneyline.

I am also a little confused on the reverse line movement of the game. It opened at a +2, from the few sites I checked it showed knicks at about a 55-60% public support. The reverse line movement had the line shift to a +1.5. But I feel like a majority of people Im reading from have the raptors so I am not sure. I  know that when the line opened there was allegedly sharp money that jumped on the knicks.

lets get it bigtime! very confident in this one (again, also lovvvvve butler tonight moneyline). I would have taken the +2 if it was there but by the time i locked in the bet it was 1.5 so i just took the moneyline as well. Great spot for them!!
