His reasoning for trading him is legit.  His stock will never be higher than it is right now.  He has nowhere to go but down.  Linsanity is just like how America was when Whitney Houston sang "I will always love you".  We saw how that story ended.

You obviously  have not been watching Knicks games as of late. They're playing solid defense.

Speaking of elite pgs, how many teams can say they have one? Derek Fisher isn't an elite PG, yet he's won championships before. This is Lin's first season with the Knicks and you're condenming him already, even before the season finishes out?

With this reasoning Bulls shoul trade Rubio because his value is at his highest or trade Kyrie because his value is at his highest. See what those teams think about your proposal

The guy is making minimum NBA wage and you want to trade him?

Not to mention the fact he's an absolute cash cow right now.

I can't argue your point about player value if someone was willing to wildly overpay. But from a business standpoint...and it is a business beyond everything else...even considering trading Lin would be Linsane.

I apologize for that comment.  Regretted sending it two seconds after I clicked submit.  I actually play ball with quite a few Chinese guysand number of them are pretty good.

But lets be real, the Knicks are not trading Lin unless they're getting back a Deron Williams, Chris Paul, D Rose, etc. And then the numbers dont match up. Lin is making $800K. These guys make that in a week. Last but not least, Lin is a cash cow for the Knicks and the NBA right now. Not even Kobe or LeBron is touching this kid as far as worldwide marketability right now. If you are the sole reason for boosting the Knicks worth $140 million, the reason why opposing arenas sell out, and the ONLY reason Knicks fans are going silly right now, then you are not getting traded for anything less than a top 5 point guard.

Why would you trade a PG that can run your system as good if not as better, for cheap, media darling, money making machine.

Thats like some Jays fans asking to trade Joey Bats after his first 50+ hr in 2010 season because it was a fluke and he has his highest value.

2011 comes and he puts up even better numbers, arguably one of the best and feared hitters in the league and he makes a fraction of what Pujols, Fielder cost.

Explain to me why NY gonna trade Lin
