I have the early NY Knicks line at +4. The Knicks were playing decent against the Warriors last night, and all of a sudden in the 4th quarter, the Knicks players on the court were just standing around, with no diagonal movement or slashing. The offense went stale, and Golden State proceeded to whoop their ass. That's laziness because they don't seem to be pumped up for the game.
However, against the Lakers, is a game these NY Knicks will get pumped up to play against. I am guessing, but I think they will play harder against a name brand team like the Lakers. Let's not forget that this is the Lakers' 4th game in 5 days. They may have not played yesterday, and the Knicks played yesterday, but these Lakers will have less elevation on their legs in the 2nd half or play less defense on the 2nd half. At the same time Kobe Bryant's wrist is a big factor. If Kobe takes a shot like something sort of a "spin and then fadeaway jumper" he will end up on the floor, and to prevent a leg or back injury he will have to use his hands for support, and placing pressure on the injured wrist, you will see the doctor tweak on it again, while his face is grimacing. Then he will go back to the court and proceed to miss the next 5 or 6 shots like in the previous games. That's what I've been noticing about his game.
And remember, both Carmelo and Amare had off games yesterday... I don't think both will have off games again. And the aging Mike Bibby, he might kind of be pumped up to shoot 3's tonight against the Lakers.

On the Knicks with ya LJ
But damn they're lookin terrible. Their guard play will be their downfall this year. But let's hope they can pull it together for the rest of this one.
