i am laughing my a ss off. the line is a big joke.
i was going to take utah at 6. books currently have it at 9. yup its clearly inflated. i dont care if utah is tanking, this is an overreaction by the books on the clipshow's 9 game win streak.
you can expect utah to bring their game. they are at home afterall, where it would be tough to play in. i think it would be too much to ask them to win the game....
but why not, 3 free points. you take it wholeheartedly.
uta +9

I agree with you TsikenBreast. This line is very generous for those considering the Jazz +9. I also think that the Jazz +400 on the moneyline is worth the risk. Utah has lost 7 of 8, but most of those were on the road where the Jazz often fold easily. Prior to the road trip, they recorded solid wins and covers over the Celtics and the Suns. Then they came home and lost a close one to a Hawks team that was desperate to avoid an 0-6 road trip. Then the Jazz lost an even tougher one to the Mavs who sank 13 of 21 threes, so what are ya gonna do, right? The Clippers have already beaten the Jazz twice this season in L.A., and on neither occasion were they seriously challenged, so I see no motivation for them to exert the kind of energy that'll be needed to beat this team by double digits again. Mind you, my whole perspective is likely clouded by an intense, sizzling, scalding, BOILING hatred for the Los Angeles Clippers, whom were entrusted with my biggest bet of the season on Monday night, had the spread covered by a huge 15 points, and then goofed off enough until my cash lay in ashes on the sportsbook floor.
Go, Jazz!!

1. this is the least popular game on the board. no one likes to lay the 9 points on the road, just like no one would take the struggling jazz team at home.
2. i dont see any motivation from the clippers to cover that 9 point line. they have already beaten the jazz twice this season by a comfortable margin.
3. i just like it. i see them pulling off the upset. last two home games were a bad spot for the jazz as they were coming off a long road trip. this will be the third and final in this mini home-stand, i think they get one here.

Enes Kanter played almost horribly enough in the second half to blow this cover. His fingers are either webbed together or maybe he only has three on each hand. I'll look at his hands more closely when the Jazz play on Sunday night to figure out what's up.
