i think a case can be made that lebrons fortunes are built on a flimsy league with no defense or fundamentals anymore.
& that his numbers are not comparable to previous times when stars actually had to compete with other stars, esp the 80s with the dream team squad all in their prime.
2/3 of lebrons game is like hardens, drive to the hoop just to draw a foul. thats why he cries so bad when he dont get calls.

I can't stand Lebron but what he's done in these finals is pretty damn special
given he is 1 of only 3 people (curry, klay other 2) on the court that can play at the highest level, it doesnt look as special. wouldnt you look special playing with kids?

Sure Jordan played with Pippen but people who use this as a reason to detract from Jordan are wrong. Magic played great players, Bird played with great players, Shaq and Kobe were together on the same team. Sure Jordan had Pippen, but there's no way they would have won without him. He elevated Pippen's game by taking pressure off of him and Pippen's game fit in with Jordan's. Jordan is the best ever, but there are so many players in the history of the league that are good it is hard to put a ranking on all of them. For example, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Dr. J, Bird, Magic, Kareem, Cousy, Jerry West, Pistol Pete, Oscar Robertson, Karl Malone, Pippen, Charles Barkley, Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, players like D. Wade, Tim Duncan, Kevin Durant, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kevin Garnett, John Stockton, Isiah Thomas, etc...the list goes on and on. There are so many great players in each decade there is a cluster of individuals who would be in the top-5 it is very hard to figure out. You could literally make 4 teams of 5 players each and they would all be very competitive and that would be the top 20
players....saying whose number 1 is very difficult I go with Jordan cuz he changed the game but you can't overlook what some guys did before him.

IMO he ALWAYS busts his tail and gives max effort, unlike some other players
another Walter Payton quote
“If you ask me how I want to be remembered, it is as a winner. You know what a winner is? A winner is somebody who has given his best effort, who has tried the hardest they possibly can, who has utilized every ounce of energy and strength within them to accomplish something. It doesn't mean that they accomplished it or failed, it means that they've given it their best. That's a winner.”
that goes for all of us, too

not a fan of LBJ, but I consider him a "winner"

Sure LeBron can score some points , but is he the best ever ????? NO ... NOT EVEN IN THE TOP 15....
He Needed to pair himself with Superstars Wade and BOSH to win a champions....
Sure he gets all the calls and is allowed to ROID Up to the max level ... But HOW MANY CHAMPIONSHIPS DOES RUSSELL & JORDAN HAVE ?????
LEBRON will be lucky if he gets one more with a ultra stacked team ..
Stop man...you sound like an idiot. If you think all LeBron does is score points...Not to mention how many times he's been fouled driving to the hole but no whistles have been blown the whole series. Keep drinking that Hater-ade man...lol

exactly plus would pippen have been a top 50 player if he didnt play with jordan? would pippen even be relevant right now if he played on another team instead of hte bulls? who knows. His offense wasnt that great, he scored a lot of points off teams doubling jordan. Pips D was outstanding though, ill give him that but offensively he was good but not a great outside shooter, more of a slasher. Pip was a very good all around player but i dont think pip could of been 'the man' on his own team for a long period of time. The bulls did pretty well with pip leading but they couldnt get deep in the playoffs that year evn though they had 4 allstars (they really prob shouldnt of had 4 allstars but they had a good reg season record)

The fact that people compare players from the past to the present is absolutely idiotic. It's completely a different style of game now.
ALSO...the stats talk...NOT your opinions. PERIOD
Josh Factor...Your'e a friggin moron. AGE matters NONE. Fool.
A 20 y/o can come out and set records or a 35 y/o can come out and set records.
STAT LINE: Since 1985, players with 35/11/11 in playoffs: LeBron (2009), LeBron (2010), LeBron (2015), LeBron (2015), LeBron (2015).
See anyone else's name there????
This is such a random stat. I mean Jordan for his first Finals series against the Lakers averaged 31 points 11.4 assists, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.8 steals for the series on 56% shooting. I think that is more impressive than random games of 35-11-11
