Alright, Hustle let me explain.
I will concede that he was a beast in playoffs in his first year (yes, I did watch the playoffs). I mean I don't have a choice, he did avg. 30pts./8r./5a. However, when I say get it done in the playoffs, I don't mean personally( 3 game winners) or statistically I mean from a team perspective. I realize part of your response would be, he did all one man can do with the team he's been given, ecpecially in his first playoff run. Fair enough. Basically my problem with annointing him "KING" is until he does lead his team to the finals, what's all the fuss, until he hits those clutch shots, free throws, and game winners on the biggest stage to get to/ or win the finals, what's all the fuss. I mean he's on the way and I believe he will eventually do it, but until he does he's still the "QUEEN" to me.
What he did in his 1st playoff run was great, but I just want to see it when it really matters. So many good players in the leaugue have had great opening and even semi-final rounds, but if they eventually didn't get it done, or didn't get a shot to get it done we perceive them differently. Fair or not. Now this is a discussion for another day and a big problem with comparing players, but it comes down to how you value winning championships V. the argument Superstar X( LeBron) doesn't have the supporting cast. Now back to my point. I guess it's fair to say he's the most talented, but as already said in this thread what does that really matter. Obviously, it' needed to carry your team deep into the playoffs, as he tried doing last year, but bottom line is he didn't complete the task, so we don't know. Until we do know, he just a supreme talent who hasn' gotten it done on the big stage. Lastly my perception of him is he doesn't have that killer in him. I don't know why, it's just my opinion when I watch him. Sometimes the killer isn't there(last Thursday in Dallas), then other times like in the Detroit game he proves me wrong, because going to the Staples and getting a W doesn't require any killer, many players have went to Staples this year and gone off. However, beating a Conference/Divsion rival, on the road, in a playoff atmosphere helps dispel my belief about him. I'm not one of these people who have an opinion and believe since it'e MY opinion then it's ok if the facts state otherwise. At this point the facts don't say this to me. I wanna be fair to him, because he's so young, but since eveyone has annointed him KING it's almost like he has to be held to a different standard.
Now to the Cavs, I can't argue the major holes in the Cavs team and M. Brown is an avg. coch at best, but the east is up for grabs. Detroit's good, but very beatable and I'm just not redy to jump on that "The Heat are back" bandwagon. The list pretty much ends there. Maybe Chicago, but outside of Ben, they have less experience than the Cavs. They are 2 games out of the top seed in the east having played so-so ball up until recently. Why can't they make it to the finals. The east is going to be won by the hot healthy team, and it can be the Cavs IMO. The Pistons and Heat are very beatable unless you assume the Heat are unbeatble because he's proven many times the Pistons aren't.
Hope this explains where I'm comin' from. Sorry, if it's a tough read, but it's 2am out here in PHX. Worked for 10 hrs today., been puffin' for the last two.
Time for some
