Off rip, you're going off a report from ESPN. Its not concrete that he wants max money. If indeed it is true, then there is no player more deserving of max money than LeBron. Those are the facts.
He already made some financial sacrifices by taking less money in his original deal, then opted out of the last 2 years which, with the raises in place, would have paid him his highest salary as an NBA professional.
Things a edgy right now because we're in free agency and there's just a lot of talk and rumors. You see for your self what the market place is willing to pay these guys. Irving a max player? I don't think so. Gordan Heyward, whom I really like as a player, not worth max money. Guys like Avery Bradley getting $8 million, not worth it. The lost goes on and on, its a marketplace and these are going rates.
I feel bad for LeBron sometimes. He has to look at his opponents and its got to be a big ego hit that Joe Johnson will make more money in his playing career (not counting off-court) than him. Before tip off when he shakes Josh Smith's hand, he has to think to himself, "This guy makes more than me?" That's got to be a struggle.
But, at some point it will have to click to him that he can't have both. He can either be another guy demanding the money, or he can be like Tim Duncan and his boys. We will know in about a week or so what's really important.
Right now all bets are off. No one knows a damn thing.

Kyle Lowry? What did he do to deserve that remark? You probably meant to say Justin Hamilton or somebody like that. Anyways, LeBaby pretty much lost everybody's respect with "The Decision", and the not 1,2,7, etc....
To Quote Clubber Lang (Mr. T) from Rocky III:
"LEBRON IS THE PAPER CHAMPION!!!!!!!!"

I lost respect for LBJ because:
1. How dare he took less money to put a better team together? He needs a all-star to win, blah, blah, blah....
2. How dare he wants the max even though he deserves it more than anyone?
People need to make up their damn minds.

Lebron is the best player in the league and is at his prime, he deserves a max contract you idiot

Oh the irony...

I'm a Heat fan, but him going back to Cleveland would be a good thing for his legacy. The prodigal son returns.
Also, a brilliant move to get the team to assemble talent. In his absence they got three #1 overall picks and several other first rounder's. Its a roster that with LeBron would win the East this season.
Anyone who just hates the guy, just doesn't appreciate the history of the game and his place in it. Any hatred is just personal and rather petty if you ask me.

When the Heat signed LBJ and Bosh, they each signed matching six-year, $110.1 million contracts, according to ESPN Dwyane Wade took an even bigger discount to stay in Miami, signing for six years and $107.5 million, according to the sources.
So, the first year, James and Bosh are scheduled to make $14.5 million and Wade $14 million in 2010-11.
Each player took $15 million less over the life of the contract to sign with Miami, which, for a six year contract, comes out to $2.5 million, NOT "100s of thousands"
These were not max contracts, do you understand?
As for James wanting a max contract, I guess you could say he was due, since he has NEVER led his team in salary, EVER.
Just like Kobe. Keep chucking it up there, and hope something hits...........
