yes refs can fix/affect games very easily, individual players can also do it... a coach can do it but it would be more obvious and less likely to work.
All of this can and it does happen, theres no way to stop it, from players standpoint it most likely is from the same players and most likely not the high profile ones (maybe one or two).
Its highly unlikely that steph curry is on occasion short shooting to win some bets, but maybe the players that come in late from the bench mught be on it for their individual reasons.
But the idea that a lot of ppl on this site and in life that theres is a "script" and that ALL players and ALL refs and ALL owners from ALL sports are in "in it" its the most stupid thing... to believe this guys that found sports as a getaway from a bad life, are all of a sudden the best actors and they all become silent because they are all under threat.
as with all conspiracy theories you should first refer to the "occams razor" concept.

How do you come away from Bb's OP when the last sentence in his OP AGREES with you? He never said ALL and NO ONE SAYS ALL!! (Outside of one or two fringe posters on this site people ignore!).
Bb is addressing the people who say this NEVER happens and casually dismiss blown covers because of Refs and or players intentional actions.

Huh. I've never heard any of the Celtic players complain about the officiating of 2010 Game 7. Unlike Sacramento in G6 back in 2002 for instance. Perhaps because they know the calls were fair and people are just whining.
Really, why would the NBA care whether the Lakers or Celtics win G7? Why would refs care? There's truly nothing to gain from rigging that match. And if refs were so bold as to rig G7 -- something which players would know first and foremost - why didn't more Celtic players complain? The most important game in their lives and supposedly the refs just stole it from them? And they don't care enough to raise a stink? Guys like KG who doesn't give a f*ck what others think? Who has enough moolah to absorb the fine?

no yeah, i understand that, i know he is not refering to that, i also agree with him, didnt mean to make it seem like i thought he believes that...
just wanted to make a separate point that those guys are crazy... english not my language so i may not make myself very clear.

also, ive seen or heard soooo many comments at local casinos/sportsbooks when players make a dumb play and the losing guy says OMG rigged!! (or in covers "he got the call")... naa mate, players are just athletes and many of them may be stupid in a lot of ways, they just know how to play a game.
