The Pelicans just beat two powerhouses in the Heat and the Nets back to back at home and now face a Clippers team that has dominated them 3 times this year. What people are missing to realize is those past two games were excellent spots for the Pelicans which has made public perception on them a lot higher than it should be.
First, the Pelicans were facing a Heat team playing there 4th game in 5 nights (3 of them being road games). It was a close game at halftime but the Heat ran out of gas in the second half.
Next they faced an old Nets team playing a game on 0 rest after an overtime game. Again, the Nets were up 20 points but also ran out of gas in the second half.
Both these games were very favorable spots for the Pelicans and if they caught either team in a different spot, they most likely would have lost both games. It seems Vegas agrees with me as this home team just beat the Heat and Nets yet open up 7 point dogs in there own arena.
Public perception vs reality, Pelicans aren't that great.
The Clippers are 3-0 SU against the Pelicans this year winning by an average of 19.33 points. The Clippers are also 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS after failing to cover 2 straight games this year winning by an average of 14.1 points.
Clippers -7.5 (4x)
Nets +3 (-120) (2x)
Season YTD:
+81.85 Units 5+ Unit Plays: 16-4
This Week: 7-2 +8.5 units Since March 10th: 34-19 (64.15%) +30.65 units

LC, any thoughts on the RLM for Nets game? kinda scurry to me...
Nothing scary about it, public is on the Nets while big bets are on the Bobcats (so far). I think the public wins here though and i'd be surprised if this line didn't start to drop before tipoff as I expect sharps to take the Nets closer to tip

I have a feeling the other side hits here in the Pelican game LC -- the public perception is as you say but backwars IMO -- public perceives there is no way the Pelicans can win 3 games in a row against top level talent -- they suck right?
That said those Clipper stats are awesome and say a lot -- I'll ride with you on this one.

Heading to the CLT gme, LC...big spot for both teams for playoff seeding. I agree the points are the better side also....CLT still not good vs teams over .500
Like the Clips angle as well

I'm on the Bobcats and Clippers 1st half -4. Bryan Roberts is likely out for the Pelicans and Deron Williams missed shoot around and it looks like he will be out per rotoworld

Nets have been on fire and had a 20 point lead in the loss that killed there winning streak. Bobcats will want to avenge there homeloss to the Rockets but Nets will come out pissed here as well and are the much better team

Respectfully disagree, noone beats the Heat and Nets back to back and gets no love. Pelicans are on cloud 9 at the moment
