Not playing this game, but it will be the last time I probably go to Verizon Center for a pretty long time. Just wanted to throw out some thoughts on the game since I have some free time.
Lakers got to meet the president... again. They've been enjoying there time here in DC and since the Wizards and Redskins suck so much, they've been the talk of the town. Quite a good amount of Lakers fans in the area actually. Last year's game it seemed the crowd was about 40% Lakers Fans - 50% Wizards Fans - and the other 10% either wearing suits or fubu.
Lakers may one of the worst ATS teams in all of basketball, but the could really put on tonight with the return of Andrew Bynum. Who knows, Obama could be in the house. I feel like the Lakers will have the confidence and ability to not let Washington hang around like they did at Staples. Unbelievable lead the Lakers blew in that game. It could be the same situation again, but with John Wall's foot definitely bummed out and sore - I doubt he will have that speed to drive to the basket to make those extra points DC needs to stay in this game. Wall may be only 19, but his +/- when he's healthy and when he's not healthy is night and day. It may not be a good idea to let him keep playing until he gets the rest, otherwise come a few months from now he could do some serious damage.
What are your thoughts on the game?
My final score guess is 107-94 Lakers.

Lakers will be close to DD favorites if not around the -10 or -11 mark.
Let's be real. The Wizards suck right now and they are too inconsistent to win a game vs the Lakers 19/20 times (at home). Lakers ML will likely be an easy interest collector on some of your bankroll - but I wouldn't suggest it because ML games like that unless you are absolute sure of your decision and have been hitting well because some of us know how bad a loss like that can feel on the ML.
Think this game total goes close to 200, but I highly doubt the Wizards score 100. They always seem to at Verizon unless it's a bad defense or the game goes to OT.

Arenas and Young had a reason to play hard in LA, it was there hometown.
DC just doesn't seem that motivated and the players aren't communicating well in practice.
While the Lakers just got some royal treatment from the president to remind them that they are the reigning NBA champions. I know you can't really say things hold up in the NBA year to year... but this pretty much is the same situation as last year as far at the motivation factor is concerned.

Also the game last year also fell straight in the middle of a Lakers 8 game road trip. Where also right before everybody was jumping off the Laker train after many losses on the road. If you look at the schedule and the opponents faced and the scores, you will notice they are quite similar to some of the games this year. In fact, close to the same scenario as last year except it occurred in January and not December last year. This year this game is also dead smack in the middle of a 7 game road trip this year for the Lakers.
As much as it hate to say it, the more things change the more they stay the same. The Wizards have close to 0 chance of winning tomorrow.

i love fading a team when a starter comes back from a long injury. but then again this is the lakers and theyre playing one of the shittiest teams in the league who play with no passion at all.
i think line will be about - 7 or -8. lakers look good in this position as matchups go they have just wAYYY to much height. but like someone said earlier lakers inconsistent as hell atm so who knows. best to stay away imo.
