After last night's terrible defensive performance on national TV, the Orlando Magic might just be shamed into actually trying tonight. Who knows. Then again, this is a Mickey Mouse operation which last night retired the number of a player whom they drafted and kept for only four seasons before he abandoned them by leaving for greener pastures.

You all are missing the point. What Bator is trying to articulate is that these guys are hanging a jersey of a player who barely played for them. Reeks of desperation no? A better question to restate: Has there been any indication in the last 20 years that this has not been a Mickey Mouse Op? He is not making an indictment on tonight, but rather stating facts and red flags. Allow me to summarize what he is saying: indeed it is a decent spot, but can you trust the orlando tragic?

This shows how tough it is for small market teams to retain stars in the NBA. Orlando is retiring the number of a guy that played four years and got zero rings with their franchise.  Spurs were very fortunate to get those two #1 picks in a row ( Robinson/Duncan)  and parlayed it into a generation of success.
