Early post, may
not have time tomorrow. On a nice 10-2 run in my last 12 in the NBA.
Hoping it continues today with 4 spreads, a couple ML parlays and a few
teasers. Best of luck gents.
CHARLOTTE BOBCATS + 7.5 (B/2) - - - With Larry Brown coaching this team I am certain we will not see a complete flop in the Cats down the stretch. I still think they make it interesting for Chicago and that 8th spot. Tonight it is all about matchups and in my opinion the Cats are one team that matches up with Philly perfectly. Quick roster analysis, Felton is one PG who can actually guard Dre well. Bell will lock up Iggy. Wallace will lock up Young. Diaw is better then any 4 man on Philly and Emeka can matchup with the size of Samual. This Cats team would have one their 3rd straight game against Philly if not for a 3rd quarter collapse last game. Charlotte's roster has improved even more since then and I really think the Cats have more to play for tonight then the 76ers. Look for a great game, Cats cover.

ORLANDO MAGIC - 12 - - - The thing I like about taking these big faves against mediocre teams is because every single top tier team in the NBA is still playing for something very important. Weather it be playoff or divisional positioning or the race for the best record in the NBA, every single top tier team will be poised for every single ball game no matter what the skill of the opposition. This spread is perfect because it negates the possibility of a back door cover. Saw Milwaukee up close and they really are bad, how Skott Skiles has done it this season is beyond me. When Fransisco Elson is playing 35 minutes for an NBA team you gotta problem. Gadzuric and Elson can't hold Superman. Lewis, Turk, Lee, Pietrus all create matchup problems for Milwaukee. Orlando once held a 30 point lead against this team a few weeks ago and that was in MIL. Tonight I suspect another blowout win for Superman and his legion.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS - 14.5 - - - Granted a very very high spread, and most will jump on Minny. The Pups always fight and claw to a cover. Well tonight against one of the most dominant home teams in NBA history they will not stand much of a chance. The reason these puppies continue to cover is strictly due to the fact that they have been hitting their 3 point shots. In Philly Carney went off against his old team and hit 7-8 as they still lost by 8. Prior to that they hit almost 60% of their threes and lost by 12 to ATL. Tonight they face one of the best perimeter defensive teams in the NBA. On top of that Mike Miller may be out for Minny. Foye, Carney and Gomes will be checked by LBJ & Pavlovic both good defenders. Last game Cleveland beat Minny at MIN by 23 points as Minny went 1-14 from 3 point land. Al Jefferson also had a huge game yet Minny was nowhere close. 20+ point win Cavs.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS - 11.5 - - - The Spurs are officially back tonight and they begin their stretch run to the Western Finals. Manu, Timmy and Tony will play together. A full roster and against the lowly Clipps. This one will not be close. Manu should play about 20+ minutes and I suspect Parker to go off as he did in ATL and Timmy to own Zach Randolph and Marcus Camby as he has historically done. Granted Spurs are not covering machines at home and have rarely blown teams out but when the Spurs are able to score, they can easily blow a team out due to their defensive nature. Against LAC one of the worst all around defensive teams in the league, San An will have no problem scorring. The depth of San An will be too much, after a close call vs GS at home, look for the Spurs to put the pedal to the medal early and never look back.
