Hey fellas, thanks a lot to everyone who wished me a safe trip, real cool of you guys. Appreciate it. Hell of a game Thursday, by far the best game I have seen all season. Glad to be on the right side of one of those. Now 9-0 in my last 9 straight wagers. Hoping to continue tonight with 3 + a teaser. As always wishing you guys the best of luck. Peace - - - MAK
DALLAS MAVERICKS - 4.0 (-120) - - - So let me get this straight, a team looses 2 straight at home against top-caliber teams and all of a sudden everyone lost trust in them? They are on a slump? Are you kidding me? The Mavs are still 2nd in the Western Conference, deep, talented and poised. Mavs are top 10 in the league in offensive and defensive efficiency. One of only 3 teams in the NBA in the top 10 in both defense and offense (Boston and San An) being the other 2. I hold this team up there with the best of them. Their roster is filled with guys who have proven themselves. Tonight guard play will be key and I think Jason Kidd, J.J Barea and Jet all have solid games. Josh Howard now starting created a 2,3,4 combo that is amazing. Josh, Marion and Dirk are a hell of a threesome. Along with a PG who is 5th in the league in assists, smarter and more experienced then any 1 man in the league, this team can really go places. Tonight I just do not see the Mavs losing 3 straight at home. As a matter of fact the Mavs have only done that once in the last 11 years (losing 3 straight at home). And they did it in 08 vs Boston, LAL and San An respectively. Their last two losses were understandable. They lost to a Utah team on a back to back situation after fighting for a hard win in San An the night before. They were also without Josh and Gooden (an under-rated player off the bench) Against LAL they could have won that game despite Lamar, Artest and Bynum combining for 40 rebounds and all having stellar games. Excusable losses in my opinion. Tonight they face an OKC team dejected after a close loss to San An. They are looking to avenge a loss at the hands of Dallas earlier this year. I don't really believe in that revenge factor in these scenarios. It is much harder for a team to avenge a loss on the road then at home, and especially when a team already beat you on their home floor. Mentally going into a hostile arena I doubt revenge is a factor, rather just competing is. The Mavs are a stunning 12-3 on 1 days rest and an equally impressive 10-2 after a loss. Mavs are one of the best teams in the NBA in my opinion and I will gladly take them by two possessions at home against an important conference opponent. Men in white should be alright tonight.

ATLANTA HAWKS - 4.0 (-115) - - - Once again that fade PHX against run and gun teams system is in affect. What you guys don't consider Atlanta run and gun? They score more points at home then any other team in the NBA. They are 2nd in the league in offensive efficiency and if you thought GS, NY, IND and MEM caused PHX problems, then Atlanta will cause them as much if not more. Just read the Indy write-up I had a few days ago, PHX just cannot contend defensively against the uptempo game. It is baffling. They were out-scored 70-46 in the 2nd half of the Indy game which is ridiculous. Don't even take previous matchups into aspect when capping this game. Don't let the Hawks familiar names on those box scores fool you, this will be a very different matchup. For starters Jamal Crawford is key because he is an asset that ATL never had before. A sure fire scorer off the bench. Teague a reliable PG off the bench. A brand new Al Horford who has not really introduced himself to the Suns yet in his career. The anomaly of Joe Johnson against PHX will end tonight. He has never shot the ball well against them...it must be a coincidence or anomaly because Jason Richardson is not a good defender and cannot and will not hold JJ. JJ is that type of Brandon Roy superstar. Nothing flashy, but he gets the job done night in and night out. If Maurice Evans and Zaza suit up tonight even better, if not I still think Atlanta will continue their home dominance and out-run the Suns tonight.

WASHINGTON BULLETS + 7.0 (-115) - - - I am playing this game because I believe we have a situation where we have 80% roster mismatch and 20% situational advantage. First off the back-to-back situation. The Bulls are the worst b2b team this season. Since they are a young team it shows me there is more to their lack of focus on 0 days rest then fatigue. Roster wise I really think the Wizards can cause a lot of problems for Chicago. I think the Washington starters will outplay Chicago's 5. Randy Foye is emerging as that player I thought he would be. When Gilbert left, Flip tried Boykins, he tried Young, he tried anything and everything to fill that starting pg role. Well that role is officially filled. Randy Foye since taking over the starting pg spot has been amazing. 22ppg, 9apg and 5rpg. He is looking for teammates and scoring at will. He is the type of big, strong and fast guard that can cause Rose problems especially on a back to back. Nick Young is a scorer and can light it up on any given night. He will outplay Kirk Hinrich tonight. Caron Butler is faster then Deng, Deng is worn out after a very hard fought win and I think Caron can take him off the dribble at will. Antawn is the man and will show rookie Taj Gibson how it is done tonight. Noah is a beast but Haywood is taller, stronger and the perfect big man to expose Noah's weaknesses. The bench is very key. I love Chi Towns bench, they have a solid rotation off there and it is up to Andre Blatche, Stevenson and Boykins to try and provide some lift and match the production of Salmons, Thomas, Miller and Johnson. I feel the Wiz have enough roster strength to keep this one very close. I'll take the points.

Ha I am sure that Foye is glad to hear he is emerging into the player you thought he would. I'll text him...he will be amped.
Love the Hawks play.
I mean come on they even have a D Called the "Nash Rule" down in Atlanta.
The Suns bench guard play has been all but awful. Even if they do come out hot (no pun) they can't seem to put people away. I'm thinking now that the Big Fruitcake is out of PHO the Hawks will probably cross match AL on Amare. Either way the bench play is the biggest mismatch I see in this game.
If Hawks don't cover this one I will be a little puzzled.
Good Luck
P.S
YOU arent allowed to refer to them as the Bullets unless you've actually been to a Bullets game.

Ha ....guy goes on a 9-0 run and starts referring to himself in the third person.
Nah just playing Rushes are nice ... I had one back in 98 I think...
So far the intricacies ... Everytime Nash gets the ball at the top of the Key and Amare comes to set the high pick ... whichever man is guarding Amare yells "PICK"
They run it vrs High Volume Pick n Roll teams so if you wanted to see the specifics check the archives and pull up their last game vrs a like opponent. That is what the experienced capper does.
Me ... I just tail you. Figuring out stuff on my own makes my brain hurt.

You are a dumb dumb fuck, Mak has been talking about himself in the third person since 2007 on Covers you jabroni. Mak is an alter ego and Mak does not appreciate your bullshit.
9-0 means jack shit to a bankroll homie. You think I don't know that? You think I got arrogant because of this measly run? LOL then you do not know me at all. You have been here less then 15 days you don't know shit about anyone on Covers. So before you talk a bunch a shit, think. You sort of seem to know your NBA and I stress sort of. Therefore I will not continue annihilating you verbally cause you may even provide positive info every now and then. Just know I will most likely ignore you from here on out if you do post in my thread. Best of luck this season.
