Jambo gents, it's obvious that it is imperative to watch the games consistently in order to succeed in wagering. At least for me it is, warned myself and posters before I left for my trip that it was gonna be difficult for me to watch games. Truth is I have only watched a few during the playoffs. Tried to keep up with stats and such but it ain't the same. Last time I posted on covers I went 0 and fuckin 5. Since then I have slowed down on picks and have gone 5-1. I think posting on covers is a kisrani (swaheli term meaning curse) Last 5 picks have been as follows:
Orlando ML, Orlando + 5.5 (9.0 units each Game 6) W Boston + 3.5 (5.5 units Game 6) W Miami ML (21 Units Game 6) W Boston - 6 (11 Units Game 7) W Miami ML (5 Units Game 7) L
LOS ANGELES LAKERS - 6.0 (B/2) - - - The Lakers are on a course for the NBA championship. I doubt any team has the depth, size and superstar talent to test with the Lake Show. The Lakers easily took care of Utah in 5 while the Rockets had a long, grulling series with the Portland Trail-Blazers. Lakers have been resting and are a pretty decent team on multiple days rest. Andrew Bynum has hardly played at all, against Utah he was barely needed and therefore rested and fine tuned for this matchup vs Yao. I like Bynum coming off the bench. It gives the Lakers an emense advantage. With Pau, Lamar and Bynum. They will easily handle the front-court of Yao, Scola and Landry. Now for those scared of Battier and Artest on Kobe....don't be. Kobe is one SG/SF that can easily handle the defensive intensity of Ron Ron and Shane. Fisher is one of the most underrated PG defenders in the league, his strength and size will be too much for Brooks and Lowry. The Lakers are a team that matches up to Houston perfectly. I suspect this series to be over in 6 games. I don't suspect the Lakers to loose any games at home during this series or maybe any series. They are just too damn good at home. The last 6 games at home during the playoffs and regular season have all been double digit victories. They have beaten opponants by an average of 13 points. They swept the season series vs Houston beating them by an average of 11 points a game. Rockets finally got past the first round but there celebration will be short as they have little to no chance to contest with the best in the west. 15 UNITS - - -
BOSTON CELTICS ML (-125) - - - I don't blame you guys for being all over the Magic. I understand. But i my opinion there is no way the Champs allow themselves to loose home-court advantage against the Magic. This ain't the bulls and Doc Rivers will emphasize that it is of the utmost importance to not only win this game but dominate on both ends of the floor. Defense is what won them the championship last year and the must do it again in order to compete with the Magic and Cavs. This will be a great series but Superman is surrounded by kriptonite. TheMagic have been resting for 3 or more days where they are an awful 0-4 ATS during the season. If you take a look at the season series closely, you will notice that despite a 2-2 split the Celts owned them in many aspects. The first two wins were Boston and Orlando at full strength and Boston took them out in decisive fashion. The next two Orlando won but barely. The game in Boston was without KG, Powe or Rondo and Pierce went 5-15. The 2nd game in Orlando the Magic blew a 20+ point lead and almost gave the game away to Boston. Rondo, Allen, Pierce, Baby and Perk in my opinion will outplay and outlast the the starting 5 of the Magic tonight. Despite Courtney Lee being a rookie, he is still important to this team and without him the perimiter defense of the Magic will be significantly less with J.J and Pietrus. Look for Rondo to own Alston, Allen and Pierce to outplay Turk and Lewis and Perk and Baby to contain Superman as the green goblins take game 1. 12.5 UNITS - - - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PARLAYS
