Hey fellas, really close to hitting that punt on the Milwaukee moneyline at +500. No regrets on that one at all, made it a lot more entertaining at the end as well. Went 1-3 (SW = 1-2, PP = 0-1, 2H = 0-0) for a 2.75 unit loss on Saturday. On to the Sunday slate, as always gents, the best of luck to you. Peace - - - MAK

All I was waiting for was the word that James Johnson will start in place of Fields and guard Mello which means T Ross on Hardaway. These matchups will mean small ball will be played the entire game as New York will matchup this way. Mello will play the 4 for most of the game moving Hardaway to the 3. Jose will play big minutes with Prigioni getting the most run at the 2 position. Sammy and Aldrich will play the big man role for the Knicks. Obviously the Raps have the superior team in every aspect with the exception of Mello. With no Amare, no Smith, a back to back for NY, Raps being historically excellent on back-to-backs, this should be a cover for my boys. Vasquez is playing much better as of late which is big for the Raps and big for this game as he will get a lot of run today with Landry being out. Sweet Lou is paying big dividends for the Raps and I suspect him to be very good today. Pat Patterson always fits in well when the opposition plays small ball and Tyler will be the lone big man that comes off the bench today. Adding 3 player props and playing my boys in an ML parlay with Washington and Orlando which I will provide more analysis on a little later. We The North....Go Raps Go. Enjoy some day ball gents.

The Washington Wizards are a dominant home team, a 13-2 home record is enough to warrant that distinction. But what impresses me more is their ability to blowout teams from the Western Conference at home. They are 5-1 this year vs the West (all at home) with their lone loss coming to the Mavs early in the year without Beal, and that was a game that came down to the wire with the Mavs making a come back. In their last 5 wins vs the West, they have won by an average of 15.4 points including wins over the Clippers, Jazz, Nuggets & Lakers. Tonight I see John Wall and Beal actually outplaying The Dragon and Bledsoe. Pierce will obviously score more then Tucker and Gortat and Humph will even out Len and Kief. My issue is the bench. I.T, Green and Marcus are capable of going off. But with Nene now back in form, Butler continuing his career revival, Seraphin, Porter and Dre all good role players, I see them keeping up with the scorching 2nd unit of the Suns. Webster will soon be back (though I doubt today) and he will add a punch to the Wiz pine. I love the Wizards and think they are a legit contender for a final 4 spot in the East playoffs. I like em against the Suns tonight.
The Cleveland Cavaliers barely won against the lowly Nets, so why is Mak taking them against the powerhouse Griz? Matchups. With Z-Bo out and John Leuer in, it not only removes a big time player from the Griz starting 5, but a big time player from the bench as well. Tony Allen is out and Beno Udrih is questionable. I would really love it if Beno does not play and may actually add a unit if he is out, he is a subtle but big player for them on the bench. Tonight Conley and Irving will go at it, and even though I love Mike's defensive ability, Irving has really struggled as of late and his recent accolade of USA player of the year will give him a boost and get him going again. Lee's defense will not come into play tonight as the taller Mike Miller is not a huge option on offense despite his big game from beyond the arc vs Brooklyn. Lebron will absolutely own Prince if he starts or even Pondextor for that matter. Love injured the finger on his shooting hand but according to reports, shot the ball with ease and was knocking down shots at Saturday's practice session. The key matchup is Varajao and Marc Gasol. Gasol is an all-star and MVP candidate, but tonight Varajao is a guy that always plays him well, he is long enough to match the 7'1 stud and although Marc will put up big numbers, I suspect him to hopefully have a sub-par shooting percentage. The bench for Memphis will have Vince Carter going up against the bigger Shawn Marion which should cool down Vince a bit as he has been playing excellent ball as of late. With Koufus being the only big man now on the Memphis bench, he will matchup with Tristan which will be a good battle. It's up to Dellevadova & Waiters to outscore Pondexter/Prince and Beno if he plays. It will be a tough game, but I will go for the Cavs to do well tonight in front of a sold out crowd against the 2nd best team in the NBA without a key inside presence.
The Boston Celtics are stacked. Absolutely stacked. Everyone thinks that they are tanking after the trade of Rondo, but this team believes they can make the playoffs and I really would not be surprised to be honest if they make that 8th spot. It's up to Brad Stevens to see how he can fit in 5 big men into the rotation. Wright, Sullinger, Zeller, Olynyk & Bass all deserve time, but how? With Marcus Smart, Evan Turner and Avery Bradley all capable point men, this team is just fine without Rondo. Green is key tonight against Deng and if Bradley and Turner can keep the pace with Chalmers and Wade, this will be a straight up win for the men in green. I will be very interested to see what the starting lineup will be as Brad Stevens has said it has yet to be set.
WASHINGTON WIZARDS - 5.5 (-113) - - - 2 UNITS BOSTON CELTICS + 1.5 (-105) - - - 2 UNITS CLEVELAND CAVALIERS - 3.5 (-115) - - - 2 UNITS
That's all in terms of straight wagers today, maybe a few more player props and 2nd half wagers if value is out there. Peace guys, good luck.

Mak....spot on IMO with all 3. I already had the Celtics as a play, and had them Friday night as well. Public perception of losing Rondo is that it hurts this team but I see it exactly opposite. Now there's a great young core of talent all competing to prove they deserve minutes. Green, Bradley and sullinger have already done it, but now we get to see Turner, smart, and the rest try and impress the still young coach. Great time to get behind them
Like this spot to back Cavs and go against the griz without big Z.
You hit on all the important points with the wiz also...I watched this suns team live last week, and I think wall and company expose them in the middle of a pretty long road trip
GL as always

Johnny - - - Nice to know you're on all 3 my friend, good analysis as well JN, let's get it, best of luck to us bud.
GG - - - Good to know buddy, always appreciate the posts, best of luck to you as well.
GDay - - - My man from the outback, looks good without Wade now. If I am correct, first time Miami has played without Wade, Bosh and James in 4 years, let's see how they fare. Good luck mate.
Intel - - - I don't think I have ever hated Bruno Cabolco and Coach Casey more than I do today. Up 18 with 1:47 left, they foul in the penalty to get him in the game because the stupid crowd was chanting, he shoots 3 air balls as does Big Nog and Raps win by 10....just a massive moose bud.
