Hey fellas, got some time so thought I would finally provide something constructive to the forum today. Sorry have not been providing the write-ups, will try and find the time from now on. Been a profitable past 2 days, hoping to keep it going. Best of luck gents. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER + 2.0 (-110) - - - Not only do the Thunder have the edge in roster match-ups, they are also in a slightly better situational spot. Both teams off back to backs. Washington is on a West to East flight off a hard fought OT loss. Gilbert, Caron, Antawn and Haywood all played close to 50. This team is 1-5 ATS when their starters combine for 160 minutes the game prior. The Wiz are just not getting it together. Granted they have had some horrible luck with injuries and close losses, but this team's identity is molded already and they will continue to struggle. The Thunder in my opinion are the most promising young team in the NBA. An amazing under-rated trade that many do not know about was made just a week ago. Eric Maynor a young rookie point guard was brought in for basically nothing. He is another young stud on a roster brimming with potential. Maynor allows James "Osama Bin" Harden to play the slashing SG role off the bench which I think will suit him well. He has one of the best groomed beards I have ever seen and this Osama look alike will bounce back tonight after a horrible game in Joisey. Harden and Maynor are a solid back-court off the bench. The front-court off the OKC bench is under-rated. Collison is a rough and tough big man who has David Lee capability. He can rebound, hustle and defend. Serge Ibaka is a long, lean forward who fits perfect in the defensive frame of this team. He is a work in progress and his length will dause Antawn and Blatche problems. Jeff Green who hardly played against NJ or got a rhythm at all due to foul trouble will be fresher then the prince of bel-air. I foresee him having a big game. Durant is a legitimate NBA superstar and has the ability to win the scoring title this year. His length, frame and agility is unlike any player in the NBA. Tefalosha will lock down a tired Butler. Westbrook is stronger, faster and taller then Gilbert and always causes him problems. Fatigue will be a factor for the older Arenas but not for the youngin Russell. Kristic coming off a huge game is a legit 5 man in this league. Trends all favor OKC, this team is filled with promise yet they have what it takes to get it done in the present, their time is now and I will not sleep on them this year and neither should you. OKC straight up. 8 UNITS JAMES "OSAMA BIN" HARDEN - - - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLEVELAND CAVALIERS + 3.0 (-115) - - - I figure a lot of you will back Atlanta tonight. For good reason I suppose. They are playing great basketball and have exceeded expectations and are amongst the top 5 NBA power rankings. My personal power rankings change all the time. In my opinion 2 weeks ago the best team in the NBA was the Lakers, then after Boston dismantled Orlando I was certain it was Boston. But at this point in time I truly think the best team in ball right now is the King and his crew. We all saw them undress LA. They continue to pull of victory after victory, ATS covers, decisive wins and most of all a defensive intensity that is beyond what I expected from the Cavs. Mo "Mo Money" Williams is playing crazy ball. He has 13 three pointers in the last 5 games. He is shooting the ball with poise and precision as are many on this team. Anthony Parker and Booby Gibson lead the league 1,2 respectively in 3 point percentage. The Cavs have out-rebounded teams 9 out of the last 10 games. Those two aspects (the 3 point shot and rebounding) will get them the win tonight. Last year the Cavs owned the Hawks in every which way especially in the playoffs. The Hawks have added Crawford a high scoring guard on their roster. While the Cavs have added Shaq, Parker, Moon and a new and improved J.J Hickson. 4 individuals who did not have an impact on the Cavs ownage of Atlanta. Atlanta is a great Eastern contender but as I stated before in my opinion the Cavs are playing the best basketball in the NBA. Back in Roman times Gods and Kings were known to eat the eye of a Hawk to gain strength and wisdom. Lebron is hungry, Cavs roll. 7 UNITS ANDERSON "SIDE SHOW BOB" VAREJAO - - -

basketball is back, I assure you it is back. Watched the entire game
vs Toronto. I think I have a good read on the Pistons. This team will
be a team to back from now on. A healthy Pistons lineup means very
very different things for this team. Looking at the records of both
teams it is sad they are identical, because the talent on Detroit far
exceeds that of the Knickerbockers. I understand that the Pistons got
blown out of the first half against Toronto, I also realize they lost
that game. But what I saw was just shooting rust and a bit of
rotational confusion on defense for Prince, Gordon and Hamilton. That
shooting rust will easily be taken care of vs NY, they will get a
chance to get that groove back like Stella. When Detroit pounded
Toronto in the 3rd q they looked like a hell of a ball club. Jonas
Kerebko is straight hustle, he reminds me a lot of Kirilenko and Detlef
Schremph. He has the ability to do big thinks in this league. Rodney
Stuckey and Will Bynum will own Chris Duhon. The shallow rotation of
NY will be bombarded with Piston talent. Rip and Ben will shoot well
and the Palace Prince should do the rest. Detroit is back and better
then ever. 5 UNITS CHARLIE "HAIRLESS WONDER" VILLANEUVA - -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHICAGO BULLS - 5.0 (-115) - - - Tyrus Thomas....end of writeup.
Seriously....end of write-up....that is all you need to know. First
game back and the man kills it. 10-17, 9 boards, 2 blocks, a steal, 2
assists and 21 points. Shows me that his time off has matured him, he
won that game for the Bulls and showed he wanted to be on that floor.
He has not played beside the new Joakim Noah. These two youngsters
with their youth and exuberance have a chance to be a PF, C combo that
not a lot of teams will be able to handle. Kirk Hinrich has also
stepped up his game amongst criticism. Rose will slowly but surely
turn into that explosive PG superstar we all thought he would, it may
take a bit of time but he is a stud. I really think the Bulls are back
and are ready to make a run. The Pacers on the other hand look like
one of the worst teams in the league. The roster that Bird has
compiled just doesn't fit. The sad thing is watching this Pacer team
not give 100% effort which is unusual for a Jim O'brian coached team.
Something is wrong within the team and the roster. Indy will battle
all game after being embarrassed vs Miami but I do think they fall
shot. Chicago to the bank. 5 UNITS JOHN "FISHY" SALMONS - - - ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TEASER

Hawks and Cav's.....home team is 5-2 in this series, Cav's can win BUT I think it's their time to lose one....on the road to a very good home team that will be UP for this game.
BOL, your a solid capper and I always check out your picks
