Memphis Grizzlies @ New Orleans Pelicans
Big game for the Grizz coming up but it won’t be tonight. The Grizz have a very open hatred for the Spurs who have beaten them 17 of the last 21 times the past few years. The Grizzlies blew out the Pelicans by 36 the last time these two teams faced, and I have to imagine they will have 1 eye on hosting San Antonio on primetime coming up on Thursday rather than a 4-13 Pelicans team they recently blew out.
The Pelicans are playing better ball lately winning 3 of their last 5 games and 3 of their last 4 home games. Another thing that will help them tonight is that Anthony Davis went 12-18 last game against the Jazz while the rest of the team went 17 for 51. With AD being the only player who showed up last game, I expect the rest of the team to come out with lots of energy tonight and play for one another. Tyreke Evans and Norris Cole will be making their season debut’s tonight adding some depth as well. Pelicans should get some revenge tonight.
