This 4.5 line is the shortest against the Raptors in the 8 games since the Big 3 arrived. A little too low, imo. Too much weight being given to the acquisition of Rudy. The Heat are 8-0 SU and have won all the games by 6 points or more.
After the initial Rudy G. euphoria of Friday night, reality will likely set in today. The Clips played lethargically; Miami will not.
The Heat are a horrible rebounding team which is generally their weakest area, but the Raptors are no better. Losing Ed Davis doesn't help. Birdman will make a difference for the Heat, imo, especially against a mediocre Raps interior. Gray and Amir Johnson are not consistent.
Toronto is #1 in assist/turnover ratio, but that will surely change with Calderon gone. The Heat are ball hawks when they are focused and I expect them to be today, going into the All-Star break.
Bargnani is a strong possibility to play and I view that as a pure negative for the Raps offense. He is not the type of guy to come back off a long absence and shoot a high percentage. He also is the soft, non-aggressive type of Eurotrash the Heat tend to play better against.
Too many personnel changes over the last few days for me to believe the Raps can have a strong cohesion tonight against a better, more experienced and (hopefully, though no guarantee)motivated Heat team.
The Raps are not ready yet to deserve such a short line.
Spo also gets the All-Star coaching gig with a win. I wouldn't discount that as a factor, especially with Bosh maybe getting a spot if Spo goes.
Heat -4.5 for me. Good luck to all.

Wolf - What do you make of the reports going around earlier in the week
about how PO'd some Heat players were at having to miss most, if not
all, of the Super Bowl?
Apparently the Heat plane has no TV or
Wi-Fi and with a game at home tomorrow they can't stay to watch the game
in Toronto. Any concerns they may just want to get the game over with
as quickly as possible to make it back to South Beach for the 4th
quarter?
GL buddy.

What's up dude! Great year for you in the NFL. Congrats.
Yeah, read about that on multiple news outlets. A lot of whining. I think they may make it back for the end of the Bowl(minimum 3 hour flight---probably get back around 8:30-9 pm), but maybe not, if it takes a while to get to their homes after landing.
It's a good thing for Heat backers, imo. They might actually take it out on the poor Raps. I am banking on some unleashed fury from them today.
WTF is up with billionaire Mickey Arison not having Wi-Fi or a satellite feed on the plane? I know Carnival Cruises(which he owns) charges exorbitant amounts for the privilege of Wi-Fi on the high seas. Surely he could arrange for the same on a plane?

MIA let this team shoot 50% five days ago and take them to OT. MIA has lost two of their last three games. I think they come out guns blazing for this game as well

Good stuff. GL in this one and the Under in the big one.
I couldn't believe the Heat had no Wi-Fi on the plane either.
