Money on Kobe MVP? Burn them already

Any of y'all got any money on Kobe Bryant as MVP? Just  them already. Kobe Bryant already got too many "gifts" from the NBA he shouldnt have had.

For example, Kobe is the youngest guy to ever win the slam dunk contest tied with LaVine, and please dont ever compare one of the most boring dunks in the history of the slam dunk contest with one of the best dunks in the history of the slam dunk contest, its just beyond silly. No more gifts for Kobe. Its done. The door is closed. Kobe cant even hit wide open shots anymore so even if they served the all star MVP title right infront of him he wouldnt be able to take it with the way he plays.

Kobe Bryant shouldnt even be in this game, and now you wanna bet money on him to win it across all players? Thats like betting on Shaq to hit over 90.5% of his free throws. What kind of delusional better would it take to be able to put money on Kobe. Betting Bryant here is probably one of the worst bets you can ever make, youre already buying him at a horrible horrible inflated price because books knows people will back him naturally as he got the most votes.


I'm just saying: It takes a terrible capper to bet on Kobe here. And im not saying im a great capper myself by any means, im just saying that backing Kobe here is beyond stupid. Having Warriors to win the NBA @ -1000 would be a better bet to make. 

I wouldnt take Kobe MVP @ +1000. I really would not.

You do realize that mvp is decided by fan voting and Kobe was the leading vote getter to make the game.

Isn't MVP voted by the fans? Not illogical it think that the leading vote getter will get a lot of MVP votes. Especially in his farewell all Star game. If he even has a mediocre night and the West wins he'll be the MVP.

He got voted in for allstar game (which he didnt deserve) and will be voted as MVP if west wins (Deserving or not).... Same fans

Im sure people wouldnt give him MVP if he went 9/32. Thats what im saying. I dont think his performance will justify all the votes.

Not racism.  We are just saying you might not be as knowledgeable about it way over there as we are.  Come on admit it, you didn't realize the All Star MVP was voted on by fans.

If fans can vote him in to the All Star game considering his performance this season, if the West won he would have to pull down his shorts and take a dump in the middle of the floor for the fans not to vote him MVP

Im aware how it works, but i dont think people would back Kobe enough to make him win if he doesnt show up. Yeah he will get some votes but i dont see him winning it if he goes 9/32.

You think Kobe will win it if he has a terrible game? I really dont. He may not have to be the best to win, but he needs some kind of performance.

No hate OP but i think its obvious u dont follow nba much or just started watching nba. Being in denmark and all so its understanable u dont know what ur saying. And for ur other thread saying lavine is the best dunker in history just confirms that u dont kno what ur talking about. Look up older slam dunk contest in the early 2000's. Ur mind will be blown if u think lavine is the best ever. Truth is, the dunk contest has been trash the past 5 years or so. Prettty much everything has been done. Dunk contest gets worse and worse every year. Tho this year isnt as bad as previous years.

no one is putting up BAD stats in a no defense all star game.....all he has to do it score 20 something and the west win and hes got a good shot.....did you not watch jordans last all star game? if it is close they will be feeding kobe and with no one trying, kobe will hit some shots..... not saying kobe gets mvp but he def has a good shot at it.

I think the WEST team makes sure Kobe gets a lot of chances to score. I think the WEST will win and I can see Kobe getting MVP.

I would make a medium wager on that and just to cover yourself, take Durant at +988 and/or Westbrook at +786.

I heard 25% of the votes come from fan voting via Twitter. but my concern with that is many other NBA players have a far more fan base on social media such as lebron than Kobe. I do think Kobe is the favorite and with a shot. But there is def a risk involved and no gimme
