GET A CLUE
An old white man with very young girl of mixed race worried how he'll look if many see his "girlfriend" in pics with younger men of color. He undoubtedly feels he'll look silly and I'm guessing a guy like this doesn't enjoy looking silly, so he asks her to refrain from putting pictures of her with these men on instagram for thousands to see - embarrassing him. Is this really so hard to understand? He also says to her he doesn't care if she sleeps with them, hangs out with them etc etc just don't bring them to games. Yeah, because then he feels people will see it and it'll make him look silly - like an old man being used by a young girl and worse, believing she actually likes him for anything other then his money.
If you listen to the conversation you notice a few things:
1. That was only part of the conversation, a lot went on before that slice.
2. Both of them sound pathetic.
3. This is a private conversation, I assume in his own house. Unlike Riley Cooper comment's or Marge Schott both made in public.
4. She purposely taping him and driving the conversation.
5. He never used any slurs or denigrated any minority.
6. He was very complimentary to Magic. Why would the Clippers owner want to be seen hanging with any Laker?
7. He did not want his girlfriend a quarter of his age to be seen around black men or minority in public or at his games.
Really! How many of us don't want our girl friends hanging with other men, especially a black man at our place of business. THIS IS REALLY WIERD! Not exactly the greatest racist remark of all time.
I am assuming that he doesn't want it seen in public that his girlfriend has other male lovers of any color, which is perfectly acceptable. He did not say it is ok to be seen with a white guy. She kept pushing the race issue to the front to goat these responses, he did not.
8. The dude has received lifetime achievement award from the black community and is getting another one in a few weeks.
9. We can all see that he has his own views on minorities, which everyone has always known, including Doc Rivers and Chris Paul who willingly signed with the Clippers.
10. Think about everything you have ever said in your life in private, either to your wife, GF or family, or friends made public for everyone before you. Ya, your clean as a whistle.
11. Can you imagine some of the things Charles Barkley has said in private? Why is he still on the air?
I'm not trying to make any excuses for anyone one. This was a very private crazy situation and really has nothing to do with basketball operations of the Clippers, I do not see anything the NBA can do to him until he spills the beans in public.
