At this time of the season, knowing who needs to win and who doesn't is critical. While this seems like a letdown spot for the Knicks after their close loss at home against the Celtics in a game they were really pointing for, the Knicks need another win to lock down the 3 seed in the east. For Detroit, a win isn't as key because it needs to beat Milwaukee the last two games to move up from 6 seed to 5 and tonight's game likely doesn't change that. The first of the two Milwaukee games is tomorrow (on the other hand, Milw locks out Detroit with a very likely win over the Pelicans tonight). Knicks are 23-16 SU on the road. Detroit has lost four of its last five and is on a 4-9 ATS run. Cunningham is listed as questionable for tonight; there's a good chance he doesn't play.
