Lakers -6.5... ( The Lakers match-up alot better with the Nuggets than they did with the Rockets the Lakers no longer have to deal with the likes of Artest and Battier getting in the head of Kobe Bryant. Although I think that the Denver Nuggets are a great team I don't beleive they take game 1 in L.A. due to match-up problems. In the their last match-up in L.A. the Lakes got to the line 46 times making 37 of those, basically speaking the Lakers were having their way with the Nuggets in that game winning it 116-102.  The Lakers are 6-1 S.U. @ home in these playoffs and the Nuggets although they are 8-2 S.U. in these playoffs both of those losses came on the road so I favor the Lakers here with a spread that I believe is much valued being smaller than the last time they played in L.A. when it was -8.5. Also I might add the Lakers played in my opinion 2 teams in the Rockets and the Jazz that had much more talent than the 2 teams the Nuggets eased through in the Mavs and the Hornets ( Although I think the Nuggets are a good team I don't see the Lakers getting the credit they deserve for beating 2 quality teams).POD

Magic +9... ( This is a pretty sick trend the Magic are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 against the Cavs and more importantly 3-0 ATS this season against the Cavs and 2-1 S.U. All those trends set aside I think again this is all about match-ups and I believe the Magic have what i would like to call some pretty good medicine for Lebron James in Dwight Howard ( Dwight protects the goal better than no other in the NBA today). Although I think that the Magic can be very inconsistent at times as seen these playoffs and end of regular season no matter what the situation they seem to give the Cavs trouble in the scoring department holding them to 90 ppg this season and the Magic have averaged 103 ppg scoring against the cavs this season. Again the Magic played a couple of tough squads in the playoffs in Philly (who matched up well with the Magic) and Celtics (who would give anyone trouble in a 7 game series) while the Cavs coasted through beating up on my lowley Pistons and caught a Hawks team all beat up due to injuries. I see an overinflated spread in this game with the value in taking the points.)POD
