FunkFreaker exactly my hope and I've harped on this as before a brief sentence or two is valuable info to back your play. What I've found in these contests is that the top 10 usually are the guys that provide a lil insight, but not always. I also agree to the accounting of units vs. % and we shall keep discussing that. 1st thing I'd like to decide is cutting the field or not. My thought is if we cut to 40 at All Star then top 20 at St. Patty's you are going to get 20 solid players that are going to have some pretty decent plays to tail as they slug it out for the Championship and that will be extremely helpful to everyone, whether you made the cut or not and just log in to read. Let's keep talking, appreciate the help.

StraightWagers I agree with top 40/20. We just need to decide what will be the criteria (%) or unit count. I'm more for units but maybe more people have to make opinion on that.

Maybe start with units and if people have the same number profit, then use percentage as a tie breaker?

Not too much I like for a pick today...was leaning Toronto but that line moved up to 11 already haha.

I'm going with GSW -12.5.  George Hill is out due to his kid just being born and the Pacers have been struggling the last 6 weeks including beating the lowly Suns by only 3 a few days ago.  GSW seems back on track after stomping the Bulls and Cavs and should handle business at home

Charlotte is not playing well, neither is Orlando. I don´t know if Orlando can take this game, They are not the cover machine of october-december. 

Line has moved 1.5 points since the opening. I think now the price is correct.

My Pick for 1/22/16

Over 194 Charlotte/Orlando.

Charlotte gives up an average of 101 points while Orlando gives 99 points.  That is a 5 point differential spread between the actual spread and average.  Also, in the last 5 games between the two teams it has gone over 4-1.  Charlotte is also somewhat depleted missing 4 players, which I think would mean more points for Orlando.  For me, it was between taking Orlando -5 or the over, I just feel like the over is the safer play.

Took care of PHX last night with a lot of backup minutes and only McCallum playing more than 25..  Duncan back after resting and with two days off before showdown with GS I don't see them being too worried about resting.  Hate laying the points but riding the Spurs train for now.

My 2 cents on how to keep standings, Id lean to say have a minimum of say 20 plays by a certain day(allstar weekend) Then narrow field by winning % as opposed to winning units because guys around the .500 mark will flood plays every day just to try and get units up(even with 1 a day). This will water down the product imo. With atleast 20 picks minimum this should offset someone with a lucky start sort of speak. Theres something to say about the guy that doesnt force plays every day and is more selective, this will help what i deem is the true cause for this contest(solid plays). Im cool with whatever you choose and am grateful for your dedication to this. Think its an awesome idea and is exactly what this site needs!! Thanks again

I typically dont play totals but this one sticks out
Plenty of trends point to over the total, recent meetings, averages of each team road/home points per game. 
This is the highest total in the series as far as i can see.
Noah being one of the best defenders out of lineup will help.
Something I noticed in NBA the Friday nights are high scoring games on avergae.
