man I got killed last night on that Blazer game, sorry to anyone that tailed and lost as I completely misread that game, first game I've watched and couldn't believe how disorganized it looked, Clips looked awful like they tried to start hot then Reddick missed first few and they gave up, Blake looked stoned or something, interesting series now my Blazers have legitimate life...anyways good luck everyone I'ma take a week off and regroup after that fiasco

Straight, one misread is not cause for alarm.  Just the day before, I read 3 plays that you recommended on the MEM and ATL games and they all won!  Oftentimes, we have a better read one some series than others.  You nailed the SA/MEM series, for example.  Please keep posting your plays in the series that you've been doing good in.
I played under in the CLIP/POR game last night, and didn't like your play when I read it, but didn't post because I had a bad weekend and I don't feel that this thread is the place to argue against someone's picks.
I guess the point is none of us is right all the time.  And, a troll can follow or not, and should not blame someone else for a loss.  Anyone who doesn't see the value in this non-contest thread, which has been providing 60% winners for over 3 months, is not too bright, and obviously not a friend.

thanks Max, sounds like you are doing well but I like Funk's approach, very difficult for me to do as I like the action and having fun jabbering with contestants, I applaud his and other's discipline...for me a break is ok, no biggie just needed after that big swing and miss, as a gambler confidence is 1 of the biggest strengths, mine was shaken last night so best not to bet on wobbly legs, good luck man nice having you around, the WNBA Contest starts mid May perhaps you could throw your hat in the ring in that one and have some success!

I didn't make a bet on Atlanta-7 today but after seeing you and placeholder both like Atlanta-7 I'm going to be putting my money on this game as well  .  I do like the under 199.5 in this game though since they didn't go over last game even with OT.

Pacers won last game clear and simple because they shoot the basketball way better than their opponents. Indy were 47.1% from the field. Raptors were... 36.5%. That's more than 10% FG difference. History point to us that teams bounce back hard at home after such bad performances at the road. The situation is really rare but I will play it. Since 2002 home teams that coming from road loss in which they shoot 10% or more worse (like Raptors last game) than their opponents are 17-3 SU (85%) and 15-5 ATS (75%) with avg line of - 6.6. Home teams outscored their opponents by 12.1 ppg in these 20 games. It seems we can expect really hard push and eventually good shooting performance by Toronto tonight. I will try this rare situation and hope that will bounce back after last night Clippers fiasco.

* I forgot to mention that in this situation the home teams have to be higher seed (like Toronto No2 against Pacers No7) than their opponents.

Atlanta -7.

On a 3 game losing streak.  I'm shocked that Clips lost last night, they were losing even before Paul went down. I've also not factored in home court advantage enough, which seems to be the difference in most of these series.  Usually home court is worth about 3 points in the reg season but it has been much more valuable in the playoffs. 

So this takes us to Atlanta tonight at home.  I'm going to take them -7.  Boston has not done well here and there is no reason to believe that changes tonight.  Hopefully this adjustment works in my (our) favor for anyone who tails me.

The NBA doesn't repeat, I don't expect this game to be like 1 or 2.

Indy’s home win vs. Tor in Game 4 no surprise - bounce-back spot,
but gives a Defense-minded team huge confidence;
also, Indy's played 52 games that were w/i 5 pts w/ 5 min. left to go...

This fact makes it tough to lay pts into Raps, unless it's an optimal
spot where Indy's expected to likely come out flat. But doubt it, bcuz
this is the important bcuz pivotal Game 5 of the series. Every shot's
worth more,

Pendo the line is good. Laying points on Raptors at home is money all season. I know playoffs are different animal but see these numbers. Toronto are 24-4 SU and 18-9-1 ATS with avg line of -6.1 at home against EC teams this season. They outscored their opponents by 8.1 ppg in these 28 games so far. Minus 7 in a must win situation for Toronto is good line with little edge for the home side cause of the results i posted.
