Getting frustrated as I look back at some numbers on the KS Query. It shows that the system should have won on 3/14, so I check to see the discrepancies and its because it has Clippers/Pelicans listed at 236.5. We know the KS Query uses closing lines on the NHL (if I'm not mistaken???) because we've seen that the next day it has road favorites listed at -115 or something that opened at +100... but this is clear evidence that the NBA KS Query is off opening lines. I thought "Hm, maybe they're going back later and editing using closing lines?".. Nope. I checked a game from Christmas day. The query from 12/25/20 shows Warriors vs. Bucks as 233.5 total.
The game opened at 233.5, closing around 230.5 at pretty much every book.

Pretty clear evidence that the query goes off opening lines. So, if that's the case, and we're ONLY playing games with totals over 230... then there's only 2 plays today.
Jazz/Wizards and Pelicans/Blazers. Both totals have dropped since opening... so if it's based off opening lines, now is a good time to wager.

Yeah, super frustrating, can pretty much confirm KS Query uses opening lines for NBA, closing lines for NHL.
Query date=20210220 and team=Oilers for NHL shows they played the Flames that day. Shows a line of -125 and a total of 6.

Oddsharks shows that game opened at 6.5 pretty much everywhere, and the Oilers were closer to -115 at every book but one. They closed VERY close to -125 (or higher) at every book.
Looks pretty clear to me that NBA lines are based off opening, NHL are based off closing.

Today the query shows three games 230 or higher. One of them it has the opening line (Mavs/Blazers), it has the Jazz/Celtics closing line, and the Suns/Wolves opening line.
The data is 100% useless if they randomly update some lines and not all. I may just revert to doing my own picks and keeping this same parlay system. I started the year 11-3 and people were pissed when I switched to systems... Maybe it's time to make two picks a day, and stick to the parlay system.
Since 2010 in the NBA favorites on the road of 5 or more have covered the spread 55.8% of the time... I think this parlay system, combined with personal high confidence picks and road favorites of 5 or more may be a beautiful formula. Thoughts?

Going to keep rolling for now, because todays games don't look like it will likely matter if you went off opening or closing and I think I got a good value play on the 76ers total.
