It happens a lot. Posters claiming a game is fixed. Threads pop up daily crying fix because they either think the game is fixed or because it's easier to justify their loss. I don't really think entire games are fixed, but you will notice some bias at certain parts of the games in this league, especially in the playoffs.
What I have always preached is that when you cry fix, it just means you haven't learned how to bet this league. You see, the oddsmakers with a built in vig have a 52% edge on you, you must find an edge to counter for yourself.
So instead of crying fix, I'm going to give ya a little info on my favorite NBA ref....
Tony Brothers.
Brothers has a clear road team bias and here are the numbers.
Road teams ATS in Brothers' games....
1. '11-'12 Season 12-9 ATS
2. '09-'10 (Last 2 Season) 92-48 ATS
3. '05-'10 (Last 6 Seasons) 249-172 ATS
Remember my 3u play on Philly last night....Tony Brothers officiated that game.
So don't cry fix, but Fix the way you're betting the game.
In those threads people always cry fix, and they always say how no one can make any money betting the NBA...
Well that simply isn't true
Stay disciplined, and grow your bankroll

I used to think games were fixed when i was losing so i started fading the public and still lost but now i learned that you just got to pick the right team at the right moment..... Maybe a good 2-15 games are fixed sense sometimes the spreads be right on point....

I'm not giving YOU advice Smart...but I will share this in this thread for the forum. Look in the mirror and ask yourself if you can afford to lose. If you answer yes, you have all the ability to succeed. Decision making without THAT WORRY (do I really have the $ or not) makes the logical desicions easier to make. JMO and wanted to share. Know your limits, flat bet imo and watch your bank roll grow. BOL today SB

Ive been following for some time now, but just wanted to post and say thank you for your hard work and insight. Also, I know you mentioned you posted a thread on how to bet the NBA in the last few months. I tried finding it but was unable. You mind sending me to the correct link.

Hey SB --

The reason why I said this isn't a thread about giving advice, was simply so it wouldn't turn this thread into an advice Q&A session.
It was simply to show the bias for one ref. Just wanted to point it out so others could put it in their capping pocket.
We all have opinions on the ways that we bet, for example, if I just flat bet all of my games, I would be nowhere near the amount of money that I have made this season.
But I understand why people who choose to flat bet, do so.
We could go on and on about our ideas, I just wanted to highlight the numbers for Tony Brothers, bring it to attention for those who wanted to use it.

Are you planning on going Tout or you going to stay Robin Hood?
What a dumb fucking question to ask, Honestly...If you think the guy is a tout why would you ask him if he is???? There's a high percentage chance he is going to say no to that question anyway so again what is the fucking point of asking that question????
