They came back home from ATL and embarrassed the Jazz with Rivers stepping into the rotation without a day of practice. The Knicks had a long off season and don’t look tired yet. The Rivers and Quickly combo is leaving teams the “Quivers”. Rivers now has some fresh legs, a day of practice and Randle been balling. OKC comes from the Deep South where they went 2-1. But I don’t think the Thunder come into the Garden and leave with a victory. They beat a banged up Orlando squad, got smoked by the Heat, and needed late free throws to beat a young Pelicans team who I think are still in their developing stages of basketball. OKC seems to be more in a rebuild mode. Think of all the players they’ve lost over the years in comparison to what they’ve acquired. They also have many players who’ve never played together while NY brought nearly everyone back and have begun to gel. I’ll take the Knicks and I am very much considering pounding the Over on the total.

Losing both Williams players and Thompson to quarantine is a huge blow to this Celtics team especially with guys like Westbrook and Beal who can attack the paint. Knowing the Celtics could be fatigued I expect the Wizards to continue to push the pace without coming up short like they did in Philly. A 10-11 man roster for the Celtics is pretty thin and things could get ugly in the final minutes of this game. Tatum and Brown combined for 73 minutes in Miami. The Wizards have the length with Hachimura and Brown to slow down the back court of Brown and Tatum. However with Celtics missing some key pieces to their defense and off the glass I don’t know if they can stop the #1 team in pace and in the top ten in offense. There’s good value on the Under here as well. I’d expect the Celtics to try and play more of a half court slow tempo game to try and take the Wiz out of rhythm. But it won’t work imo.
