Very good points I failed to catch when I originally looked at the matchup.. Wade isn't 100% as well...
Interesting play on Warriors... only thing is no Manu and I feel this line is shady being this high.. can't pick a side, but if I had to I would roll with Warriors
Similar look-ahead spot for SAS on this with in state rivals DAL on deck... add in the front end of a B2B and I think we get a lot of the SAS bench tonight so Pop can at least field a competitive squad tomorrow against DAL at home.

I think MIA is in a look-ahead spot right here and love the IND Pacers for a few reasons:
(1) First opportunity for IND to really make a statement against quality Eastern competition
(2) MIA gets ATL next game (tomorrow). Think they might be looking ahead a tad to get some revenge for that home loss?
(3) MIA could very well rest their big boys a little bit to save their legs for the ATL rematch, which will be their fourth game in five days.
Is Miami ever not in a look ahead spot for you? I think they just look ahead to grab any win they can right now ;)
But yeah if there was ever a look ahead spot, than this is one. Doubt it matters and if you are saying they are going to rest people and risk a loss than seriously you have no clue what you are talking about.
The coach is not gonna take players out because he wants revenge on Atlanta, just ridiculous thinking.

Look man, I was polite with you in my last thread when you questioned whether or not maybe there was a lookahead revenge angle with CHA. In fact, I think you called it "one of the top 5" most made-up reasons to back a team you could think of. Did MIA look to you like they gave a crap in that game? Did their performance give any indication they cared?
Why is MIA in a position where they need to grab any win they can? They know they are head and shoulders the class of the East. This is not DAL talking about who started out so terrible this year and needs wins whereever they can take them. MIA was undefeated this year before ATL took them out! And you question whether or not -- maybe, just maybe -- these prideful players can't wait to play ATL again to stick it to them? It's psychology 101 man.
Will they likely rest people in this game more than they would if they had a day off tomorrow? Yes. Do I think IND will win this game? Probably not, but I like catching 9 with them as opposed to having to win by DD if you back MIA here in the look-ahead spot.
I'll stick with my "ridiculous thinking", thank you very much. It's served me well so far in the NBA.

Hey Kap is your year up now?LOL doing any college?
Getting closer, July 28, 2012 is the date
I do occasional college plays, mainly UCLA games but it is so hard for me to keep up with college given the number of teams and games and players that consistently change. In the NBA I can tell you something about basically every player in the league and their abilities. Not even close to that in college, or even in the Pac-12 specifically nowadays.

Because this is a race for home court in the playoffs and every coaching staff damn well knows how much home court matters. And believe me they will look out for the players and make sure the players get that as well.

They certainly look forward to take their revenge and will be extra motivated to play hard when Atlanta comes to town. Does it mean they will relax today? No.

I had a big play on Minnessota myself that day, just for different reasons. And yes your reason still ranks up in the top 5 most ridiculous reasons I've ever heard. Just because your bet won, doesnt mean your reasons were sound.
Are there reasons to take the +points on the Pacers? Yes there are. Are they going to rest players when the opportunity presents itself? Certainly yes. Does it matter that the next game is vs Atlanta, will the coaching staff be looking for revenge and rest players more because of that? NO!!! All they want is a win in this game.
I don't mind that you people are using these revenge/look ahead spots for our reasoning. Sometimes they might matter but here this is not a reason impacting on the result.
