I'm not the guy that typically posts headings like this so I just want to make it clear how strongly I believe in this game tonight. This is one of those classic betting examples that is used by the books to trap bettors into the wrong side based on what they just saw in the previous game.
Grizzlies were able to stay in the series with a game 4 win to tie this series at 2-2. If you have spent anytime following Greg Popovich and the Spurs over the past decade or so then you would know that he is a master at motivating his team to play in big spots and in this particular situation he has been in his guys heads since the plane ride home from Memphis. Despite the Grizz getting a nice game 4 victory at home, they are still 3-12 ATS in their last 15 games on 2 days rest. That is a big deal folks!! What this proves is that the Grizz simply haven't been successful on short rest this year and why would that all of a sudden change after a hard fought emotional game? The Spurs have depth like almost nobody else in the league and because of this they have a much better chance of bouncing back on short rest than the older and less athletic Grizz.
Combine the above paragraph with the fact that the Grizzlies have now become a public underdog and this spells disaster for the Grizzlies and the public who is following them with the juicy +10.5 number. Don't be fooled by the big number, Spurs will be focused, at home and better coached tonight and this game has blowout written all over it. Don't get sucked in with all of the Grizz propaganda. A loss here still means a home game for them in game 6 while a loss for the Spurs is much more damaging and simply won't happen. Spurs are the play my friends, lay the number and have faith!!
