My bad i'm trying to juggle my sons need with this write up and got side tracked........
"and now that it is guaranteed............." i''ll continue:
Now that it is guaranteed (that the series goes to 6/7) i don't see the refs manipulating these games as much as they did so very heavily game 1-4. Game 6 will continue from game 5 officiating wise, LA could get some calls their way being at home but i feel if Boston continue to play well it might not matter down the stretch.
Boston defense is clicking, you cannot ignore this because it will be a very significant factor from here on out. I stated very early in this series if the refs do not allow a physical game LA will win this series and now that the refs are allowing them to play more Boston's Defense has come alive because Boston thrive as a physical team....add this with lack of depth from LA and Bynums knee and Boston are just looking good right now.

I think it may go 7 also but i just think at this point of the series 6.5 may be a little too much to give Boston. LA may win game 6 but Celtics could cover the spread.
I just think Bynum is a big factor. He played 32 mins in game 5 and still was not able to be as effective as he was games 1-3. His knees swelled up in game 5 and reported it swelled up even more on the plane ride back to LA. These teams only have 1 day off and i can't see his knees holding up the rest of the series.
LA better have a plan B that is not reliant on Bynum, there bench better turn up and their defense better improve or else they may not succeed to repeat.
I'm not counting them out just yet though......refs still scare me in these next game/s.

Something i wrote on another forum in respond to somebody stating Bynum is LA's most valuable player:
"As i mentioned w/o Bynum LA become the 2008 version of themselves and
we all witnessed how dominated that team was in 08. W/o Bynum Gasol is
defended by Perkins who is a tougher match up for Gasol than Garnett who pushes him away from the basket.
Garnett would then be on Odom who is a far easier cover for Garnett than
Pau and can also be owned on the offensive end by Garnett. Rondo is
able to get to the cup easier and more often and Davis can also play in the paint easier
without the length of Bynum.
Bynums length allows LA to have good
spacing and players such as Gasol can benefit from that which is why he
has been playing very well with Bynum on the floor. W/o Bynum Gasol cannot roam as much on offense and on the defensive end has to work harder on both taking down boards and defending and we all know Gasol isn't that good of a defender especially when Bnum is not on the floor.
Last 2 games
with Bynum's injury getting worse and limited in minutes and mobility
Boston has had an easier time scoring and defending. Needless to say if
Bynums knees does not improve and i believe they will not LA will lose
this series.
Bynum game 5 in 31 mins 6 pts, 1 board and 0 blocks
and that's after playing only 12 mins in game 4 with 2 pts, 3 boards
and 0 blocks - both games LA lost spite of Celtics not having a good
game in game 4.
In this sense yes Bynum is LA's most valuable
player as he allows every one to have an easier game with his presence on
the floor and LA becomes perhaps the better team in this series? But
atm LA are visibly lost without him being even 80%."

Kobe Bryanthas been saying it for weeks and yet no
one seems to be listening.
When the Lakers have lost in this postseason, Bryant insists, it’s
usually been a product of their suspect defense.
Sooner or later someone other than the Hang Time crew
is going to take Bryant’s no-defense rants serious and realize that he’s
right. The Lakers are four quarters away from being a painful fishing
trip because they cannot stop the Celtics when it matters most
“Defensively, we weren’t very good at all,” Bryant said. “Last game it
was the fourth quarter and this game it was the third quarter. We didn’t
get any stops. They got layup after layup, and you can’t survive a team
shoots 56 percent … we’re normally a great defensive team.”
From article titled "Defense leaves LA in game 5"
Even more conspicuous was the absence of the Los Angeles defense.
"We weren't getting stops," Bynum said. "[Bryant] went nuts, but we
couldn't stop them, just like the other team [couldn't stop him]. The
game comes down to being able to get stops, and we're not doing that."
The Lakers allowed Boston to outscore them in the paint by a margin
of 14, and the Celtics racked up exactly half of their total points for
the game -- 46 -- at the rim.
The Lakers were beaten in
transition as well, scoring only three fast-break points to the Celtics'
14.
With control of the series hanging in the balance,
the Lakers let the Celtics score on more than half of their field goal
attempts -- the first time in 21 games this postseason they've allowed
an opponent's final accuracy mark to land north of .500.
"You
never want to give up that number; we haven't the whole year," said Ron
Artest, who had carved the word "defense" into his hair in three
different languages earlier in the season.
Since Game 1, when the Lakers won the points-in-the-paint war 48-30, the
Celtics have outscored Los Angeles 186-130 on the inside.
"It was a critical time for us to get stops and run as a team and for
guys to get into it," said Lamar
Odom, who had two of the Lakers' nine steals. "We just couldn't get
none. Tonight was a game where if we're getting stops, we would be
talking about how Kobe got into it and how everybody else kind of
followed after that, but we couldn't get stops. It's always the
defensive end. This is the NBA Finals. You talk about the Super Bowl,
the World [Series], in baseball it's pitching and defense, defense,
defense. It's always the defensive end. We have enough guys that can
score and play. It's always the defense."
Defense has been the Lakers' mantra ever since Boston bullied them
defensively in 2008. As recently as Game 4 of the Western Conference
finals, Bryant emphasized how crucial it was, denigrating L.A.'s defense
eight times in his postgame remarks after the Suns had scorched them
for 115 points.
Garnett came up to the postgame podium
Sunday and was asked how it felt to be just one win away from a second
championship in three years.
"I thought the defense was
consistent tonight throughout four quarters," Garnett answered, evading
the question.
He knows what wins championships.
And
the Lakers know the only way their title-defense countdown of "2 More"
can start again will be by making stops.
From article titled "Defense makes the difference in game 5"
Kobe made some incredibly tough shots, but, because of defensive
breakdowns on the other end, the Celtics were responding with easy
buckets. That can be very defeating.

Phil Jackson would be a fool not to focus on defense at this point. While Boston are sharpening their defense clamping down on LA like a vice grip and will only continue to intensify their defense further LA must match that with even greater efforts on defense. Hell even kobe is smart enough to realize defense is what will allow them to overcome this deficit and have a chance to take it to 7 for the opportunity to win the series.
Perhaps this is the reason the total is set 2/3.5/4 pts lower than what it was in game 1-3.

No offense, 3ball, but I think you're wrong on both of these bets. Not trying to knock your picks, just giving my opinion.
Here's why, in my opinion:
LA has been just waiting to get this series back home. they knew it'd go back there after a game 3 win, so they were just patiently waiting for that opportunity. Don't get me wrong, they would have loved to go 2-1 at Boston. But I think that in the back of their minds, they knew they'd be going back home, so they didn't play 100% all the time, every play.
Also, I haven't watched much NBA this year, except for the finals, bbut doesn't LA tend to score over 100 at home? and don't they allow at least 90? I wouldn't be surprised a bit to see this total land over 200, with a 110-101 LA win. Maybe even something like 108-96. Either way, this should be a high scoring LA cover IMHO.
Either way, GL with your bets throughout the series.

I just can't believe any team at this point of the season would cruise through any games as if they can afford to. You cannot take those sorts of risks even if you do have 2 more games @ home. Who in their right minds wold choose not to play 100% and go down 3-2 giving their opponents the opportunity to just need to win 1 more to defeat them. I just can't believe that.
The Under play is not popular i understand and i have thought about the Over as this is essentially an elimination game and we all know how they end up but this is a situational bet for me for reasons i stated above. but at this point i feel comfort knowing i'm taking the Under in a game where Boston is coming in finding their defensive groove in games prior bringing it into LA where they have a chance to take the series the way they know how.
Cheers for the thoughts though WendysRox & GL to you also - we both have Boston for the series and both predicted in 7. Your Shakira avvy is something else. That girl is divine.
