To answer all of the questions about the line move...

If I had to assume who was behind this line move, my guess based on how it moved would be sharp money. Now sharps don't always win, but I would rather be on their side than against.

If you are looking at -4 and still considering a play on the magic, I would reduce the grade for obvious reasons.

What does reduce the grade mean Smarts?  How come you can just answer a question like a normal person instead you answer like a lawyer.

It means if I took Orlando -1 for 3 units, I would make Orlando -3.5/4 1u.

I thought the observation was worthwhile. I've been tailing smartbets for weeks now and I'm greatly appreciative of his picks. 

But sometimes the "greed" side of me wants to overextend my gambling on his picks.  Stupid, I know.  So, it's a sobering reminder that games could be lost as well.

Cashin...is very correct about one thing blind tailing is a very dangerous plan!  But w/ 90 percent on the Magic it seems like a lot of people agree with SB

not that we're pussies and cant take the fbomb, but clearly there was no reason for it.

One thing I don't get about this game is *WHY* Orlando opened -1.

Everyone knows ATL has stunk lately.  No Horford. No Joe Johnson.  Blowout losses in 5 of their last 6.  Only cover was a win @ horrible PHX where they were down by 10+ in the 1H. 

Revenge situation for ORL.  First game back from road trip.  ATS in last 6 is 1-4-1

Vegas isn't stupid.  They opened SA as a +4.5 dog to Portland despite being on a 11 game winning streak. 

So why open @ -1?  They have to know people would be pounding ORL.

Also, ORL ATS is 6-1 in last 7 games. 

With ATL being 1-4-1 and ORL being 6-1, you'd figure that oddsmakers would shade the line toward ORL.  This should've opened at ORL -5.

I'm tailing this pick small solely b/c I think smartbets is a better capper than me.  But something seems fishy here.

Very well put composite -- I think you probably hit the nail on the head here. Are bettors going to be rushing out to get down on Atlanta in this spot? I can't imagine that's the case, and ESPECIALLY if the opening was ORL -1. ORL is gonna be a public team for as long as Dwight is there, and given the enmity between these teams from their playoff series the last two years, I think this game is probably going to be a dogfight.
