He lost like 3 picks... he is on 41-12. Hardly a crash and burn. If he loses the next 10 in a row it's a crash and burn. The law of averages says he was eventually going to have a bad day. I think he can still come back. I wouldn't say cockiness killed him. The only bad bet was Magic. Portland clearly the better team. I followed on Magic, but I was actually worried about that one as I just thought Portland are the much better team and no game yesterday or tomorrow, so they have a good chance to win the game by a decent margin.
But seriously bro... OKC was going to win until Westbrook messed it up. And Denver was on fire too until the unlikely Lance Stephenson plays his best 3 minutes in about 4 years to charge the Lakers back into it. Even the Magic was within striking distance til some point in the 4th.
The point I'm trying to make is that all of these games were relatively close, and two of them he actually capped correctly, however lost just due to 1 player's performance in the last few minutes (1 good performance, 1 bad performance). You can hardly say he was way off the target with these...
Agreed Spud. It's literally impossible to sustain the kind of "run" he's been on.
Many of these games come down to literally one shot in the last 30 seconds, which then causes a chain of events there after which are either in favor or not in favor of the side you're on.
The recipe is to win more than you lose. People need to give the man his props, but if you really think this run was gonna last, you're a dummy.
