Since they have added some extra star power to their roster, the Brooklyn Nets are looking much better. The Nets are currently 29-29 and poised to make a serious playoff run. Brooklyn is 7-3 in their last 10 games, which now gives them a real shot to get first round home playoff series. The Nets are currently 2nd in the Atlantic Division, though they will need to continue to win down the end of the season. Brooklyn will have a chance to do just that when they host the Memphis Grizzlies at home.

The Nets currently 17-11 at home, which has been a major source of their wins. Replacing Brook Lopez and his 20.7 points per game was big problem a month ago but since then Nets have hit their stride. Nets have also gotten a major boost from Kevin Garnett, who is drawing in 6.7 rebounds a game for the team. This was the result of a major trade deal that secured both Garnett and Paul Pierce from the Celtics.

The Memphis Grizzlies have recovered from poor start to season and now it looks like they have real shot to be threat in compeitive Western Conference. Grizzlies will need to continue to win if they want to secure a spot in the competitive Western Conference, which they can generate against the Nets. Key for Memphis has been getting star PG Mike Conley back from a bum ankle injury. 

Now that the Grizzlies are healthy, they have been pounding soft teams like this Nets team and tonight it's more of the same with an easy Memphis win. Grizz ended the hot streak of Washington on the road Monday night and Memphis does the same tonight at Brooklyn.

The Chicago Bulls are heading to The Palace of Auburn Hills to take on the Detroit Pistons . The Chicago Bulls have been on fire since the new year. Playing as one of the best teams in the NBA, and the Bulls have surged to 6 games over .500. The Pistons are coming off of a win over the hapless Knicks and are trying to string together victories in the Eastern conference.

The Chicago Bulls put it all on the court every night behind Coach Thibs and their #2 ranked defense in the NBA. The Bulls give up 92 PPG while averaging 93 PPG on offense, which is 30th in the NBA. The focal point of their offense, Derrick Rose, is out for the year and the burden has been put on dynamic big-man Joakim Noah. Noah is having a career year with averages of 12 PPG, 11 RPG, and 5 APG.

The Pistons spent a ton of cash in the offseason to bolster their roster. Adding Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith have been disappointments thus far but Andre Drummond has exploded into stardom. Drummond is coming off of a 17 point 26 rebounds game against the Knicks. The Pistons are 14-19 at home.

The defense of the Bulls will be the difference, Chicago's best defense against Detroit's terrible defense will be no match. Bulls lost last time out but that was in back to back spot if you draw a line through that game Chicago is hottest team in NBA this year.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have built up a respectable 30-29 record so far this year. Most fans of the team will be waiting to see if they continue to win down the stretch, since they are currently just out of the playoffs. T-Wolves will need to put together a win streak soon if they want to secure one of the lower seeds. Facing a struggling Knicks team will help Minnesota's chances as NYK are playing maybe the worst basketball in NBA.

Part of the success of the Timberwolves has been due to the play of Kevin Love. Love is currently scoring 26.6 points per game on the year, which includes an additional 13.3 rebounds per game. Ricky Rubio has been another major asset to the team, helping to distribute the ball. But it will take a team effort if the Timberwolves want to lock up a playoff spot.

The Knicks have gone just 1-9 in their last 10 games and not much has went right for the banged up aging Knicks roster. But the Knicks can still rely on the offensive output of Carmelo Anthony, who is shooting 28 points per game for the team. For Knicks fans it can get worse as Anthony is staring at free agency and NYK could lose him with zero compensation in return.

Fading a bad Knicks team has been our motto for last few weeks and with NYK 1-6 ATS in last seven games we go back to the well again tonight. Outside of Carmelo, the Knicks team have been terrible and don't see that changing against a red hot Minnesota team.
