I was planning on slamming Philly tonight if they saved their energy for this game, considering they already are essentially locked into the #3 seed and didn’t need the win yesterday. This is a huge statement game in Philadelphia tonight, who will be facing the team that’s been their daddy over their past few seasons.
The 76ers are a humiliating 3-21 against the Celtics the past few
years. They lost to them 7 times last season, including getting knocked out of
the playoffs in 5 games. Philadelphia has went on to lose to Boston 3 more
times this season since the playoff defeat last yr.
Big
reason Philly rested Embiid yesterday, and it’s all because of this matchup with the Celtics.
Philly has had this game circled for a while now, as Boston has been in their
head all season long yet they haven't been able to get over the hump. The
Sixers need to beat the team that has owned them over the years to have a boost
of confidence heading into the post-season, and to prove their new starting 5
is a legit contender. This is a huge game psychologically for Philly heading
into the playoffs, and their biggest game remaining on the season.
Philly’s
bozo coach however, played all of his starters 37+ minutes in a meaningless
game yesterday instead of saving their energy for a very impactful game tonight. Because of that, I’ll have to keep this one a lot
smaller than I would have liked; as I was planning on doing 7-8x on this one if coach didn't overexert his team yesterday. Thanks Brett Brown.

I'll also be on Portland who's been on my radar for the past 2 weeks now. As mentioned, they’ve always had a very motivated team, an elite starting 5, a solid coach, and always played Golden State very tough. But now after the trade deadline, this team has very quickly become the deepest team in the West. I will absolutely be riding Portland very hard in the playoffs, and added some money on them to win the West earlier today to add to the Rockets to win the West bet from earlier in the year.
For now, they will be without McCollum for another week or two, but I still expect this very deep team to start blowing out a lot of teams. Do not forget that Lillard and McCollum got swept in the first round last year. This team is far better now, and very hungry.
