So far this year there have been 3 plays that matched both systems.

Bos/Phi
Mil/Chi

11/4
Mia/Wash

With only a 2 point window there may not be a lot that fit both, but so far it looks like when they do they are money. It would be interesting to see what Matt comes up with when both are in play during the 08-09 season.

I just read an article from a guy who claims he was an oddsmaker for the NBA at one time. He has a theory about NBA O/U that I found interesting and thought I would share it with you guys. The man claims it hits 70% of the time minimum. He says you have to find games where the total is set from 180-192 and the home team is favored. You then take the home teams favorite line and subtract it from the O/U if the total is above 180 the game is going to go under, if the line is under 180 the game goes over here is an example from NBA games on Wednesday.



Sounds like a great concept- so, I went with last years scores and spreads to check how accurate 70% was...

I did as much as I could do- cuz going through all that info is tiring

The system went 70-58 for 44%

so if you're looking for this particular system to bail you out- DON'T

Which to be clear is not the shiek's sytem, right???

NO- not the sheik's system, but the system where you find games where the total is set from 180-192 and the home team is favored. Thanks for your work guys we will see how it does this year   Feb and playoffs look like NO PLAY periods for 180-192 system.

System match games for Shiek and 180-192 system are MONEY

In looking at that you are right Goat definetly NOT 44% more like in the mid 50's%

What do honesetly think about this 180-192 system? You think it can be a winner consistently, except for february? You have any history or research on it in past seasons?

buck/min. under 189
thunder /rocket under 188.5
spurs/blazer under 185

Looking good to me.

Checked this out for fun and so far its 12-8 with like 3-4 CLOSE calls.  Still 60% ain't bad. Last one was the CLE-CHI last night which was a winner.  Total 191.5 CLE was favored by 11 or 11.5, subtracted from the total comes to 180 or 180.5, so the play was the under.

I'm talking about the long run numbnuts! That is just a small sample you have there son. When you accumulate years of gambling a system will gradually fall to the 50% region and so if you always keep your wagers the same amount you will eventually see yourself losing.
