Doesn’t seem like a good spot for Nuggets (B2B)
Lean: Clippers -4.5
The worst possible scheduling situation in the NBA - which I thought had been eliminated when the NBA beginning in 2017 extended the length of the regular season by starting it one week early - is BACK, though probably for just one night.
The Nuggets returned home from a 5-game road trip and rested for only one day before hosting the Spurs last night. After the game, they reluctantly and grumpily (no doubt) boarded a plane headed to L.A. where they will face the Clippers tonight.
You see, for an NBA team, scheduling doesn’t get more unfair than that. They return from a long road trip. have only one day to rest before hosting an opponent, and then have to board yet another plane immediately after that game because they’re being forced to somehow compete on the road the next night. And they just don’t. They don’t show up for that road game because they literally don’t wanna be there.
That’s the spot the Nuggets are in tonight, and this unwanted visit to crappyname.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles comes on the heels of an ugly 1-4 and 0-5 ATS road trip completed on Friday in Houston. I got down early on the Clippers -5.5 risking 22 units to win 20, biggest bet so far in this NBA season.

You still like it at -7.5?

Coach Malone decided this scheduling unfairness is a bunch of B.S., so he just threw tonight’s game by announcing that Nikola Jokic will also get the night off. The Clippers are now -10.5.
Now I have to worry about the assclown Clippers growing complacent knowing the champs will play without three or their starters. In my view, these underachievers have no room for complacency, but these are NBA players and they care only when they feel like it.

That is precisely what I would be worried about too Bator. I will be watching this game for a possible live action. I do agree with your points but the Clippers are just as likely to be down 15 points at half against the Washington Generals as up 30 against the 1992 dream team.

I was just thinking about that middle.. clips go up by a dozen in the 1st line goes 15, 16, 17?... whoa tough to pass that up. Then again you already got away with theft/robbery/larceny - call it what you want but way to assult that line, fantastic job! I hope the Slippers dont hit snooze, and you rake. GL

Okladood, you’re betting on a team playing their 3rd game in 4 nights, second of a back-to-back, and in their third city! Three of their starters are absent, two of them are All-Stars, one is an annual MVP, and their bench is shockingly thin, full of inexperienced 21 and 22-year olds.

Clippers should run them off the court . A little worried about them resting backend of the game but they're starting to gel with beard winning 4 of last 5. I see this getting out of hand . Jokic, Gordon, Murray all out plus a couple more . Clips for me . BOLTA

Surely the halftime talk will focus on defense and eliminating complacency.
