Usually in the NBA, teams after playing in OT are good fades. But that's not the case with New Jersey today. Losing teams with a winning percentage better than .250 are 21-0 ATS as small home dogs (+1.5 - +5.5) after a home overtime game in which they never led by more than 10. New Jersey won last 3 and covered last 4 after an overtime game.

They are perfect 9-0 ATS as home dogs of 2.5 - 6 pts winning 8 of those 9 games this season. They are actually a winning team at home this season. They are by far the best home dog this season against winning teams. 16 teams have been home dogs against winning teams this season at least 7 times and New Jersey has the best ATS record of them all, going 12-4 ATS in this situation.

As for the Celtics, they won big last night but to me it felt like Boston had nothing to do with it. Milwaukee scored no more than 18 pts in any quarter, they started the game with 9 points in the first, they were using the clock at the max every time they had the ball ending almost every possession with a turnover or with a bad shot. I can't remember when was the last time I saw a lack of effort like that. The Celtics are notoriously bad on the road with no rest. They are 0-12 ats in last 12 as 3.5 + pts road chalk with no rest after scoring 100- and allowing 105- as long as not on a winning streak (1 win is not a winning streak to me).

Anyone who watched that game will tell you that Milwaukee just wasn't there from the tipoff. Boston did their part but it was more about Milwaukee not showing up. New Jersey is not playing like a team that has nothing to play for. They are clearly playing for the next season. No one in the organisation expected them to be competitive this season. Protecting home court, improving from last seasons team and growing up were their goals for this season and so far everything on that list look good.

Maybe, but how i see it is they won 4 straight vs 4 bad teams who dont play defense. The celtics are a whole different animal then raptors,warrirors, and clippers. the line is back down to 5, im assuming public is on the nets just like they were on the bucks last night. Nets haven't won 5 straight games since 07. The nets have to improve from last season, theres no possible way they could do worse, unless you think trading away your two best assets for a all star pg who has no intent on resigning...then yeah the nets are improving.
