i copy and pasted this post from our "sty" thread, because i like these plays so much and wanted to share them with readers that may not frequent the sty...
ok, let me start laying out this phoenix game... we have diametrically opposed teams.... the magic play at a snails pace, cant shoot the ball very well, and are one of the worst offensive teams in the league...and in the bottom third defensively... no wonder they suck..we have a very friendly crew of "over" officials for this game: mark lindsay 33-20 and 202.3 pts per game, marat kogut 25-19 and 202.6, and the third guy, our old buddy scott foster, 30-23 and 203.3... the total is between 210 and 211 depending on what you get...IF the magic could score at all, i would be all over the over...so the conundrum, all the pieces of the puzzle fit, but one...so, since the total becomes a somewhat hazy issue, lets look at the side....the suns are one of the best ATS teams in the NBA. the suns FG scoring margin at home is +5.1 and the magic on the road face a FG scoring deficit of - 9.9...thats a 14 pt adv for the suns....first half numbers suns + 3 and the magic are a tragic - 6 1/2..a 9 1/2 pt adv for the suns...superior offensive team against a poor defensive team... and suns almost 20 games over 500 ATS....SUNS -7 FIRST HALF... i know the suns wont be slacking off in the first half, trying to run out to a big of lead as possible....
my plays in order of preference...
suns -7 1H
suns 1H TT over 56 1/2
suns 2Q -3 1/2
FG over 211
GL if you tail any of these... i dont guarantee anything...these are just well researched statistically analyzed plays with the officials over bias thrown in..
