Updated Recorded Playoff Record
52-27 (65%)
Hello everyone!
Last night sucked by missing the Mavs spread. We made up for it with the ML and the 2h bet though. Which made it a 2-1 day.
This puts me at 9-3(75%) over the past 5 days of betting. So everything is still looking good as far as closing off the playoffs strong with above a 65% as a whole.
This was a VERY hard decision... but after much thought and research I think I'm going to fade the public/the rest of covers lol and ride the heat 1 more time.
Lets keep this run going! On to the play!
Heat +3.5 (bought .5)
So far this series has been very good to me. We have cashed in on every game so far. The only bump in the road was in game 2 but I quickly saw that the Heat had stepped it up and made some live bets to fix it.
Game 4 was a very crucial game. Just as I thought, It would be a war but in the end Chicago's limited fire power would kill them them and Miami's multiple scorers would close it out. Dont get me wrong though... My blood was pumping from the 4th quarter on, lol.
Miami
Lebron James once again led Miami in game 4 with a whopping 35 points, 6 boards and 6 assists. Which made his performance even crazier was the how he was able to take Rose out of the game when his team needed him the most late in the game.
The second leading scorer was Chris Bosh, who had 22 points and 6 rebounds. This guy has really surprised me during this series. He is finally playing like he did in the Raptors. He has actually shot above 50% in all 4 games so far. I consider Bosh the X factor in this team. When he is on, Miami becomes unstoppable.
Wade on the other hand, has had a rough series. In game 4 he only scored 14 points. What confuses me, is that he had stayed till 12am the previous night practicing his shot and still shot poorly. Luckily for him and Miami though.. He really stepped it up in the final minutes of the game to secure Miami the win.
In the extra period alone.. James, Wade, and Bosh combined for 16 points. This is what I was talking about last time.. something has happened with this team. I used to write about how they were great during the game but horrible in clutch situations in the final minutes. I dont know what they have done but they are a different team when it comes to this now. It is also why I am siding with them again tonight!
Chicago
Game 4 was supposed to be Chicago's come back game. They knew that if they gave Miami a 3-1 lead, their season is pretty much over.
Derrick Rose, the NBA MVP, led Chicago with 23 points. Unfortunately he shot 8 of 27 to get those points though. He also shot a dismal 1-9 from the 3 point range. Rose has combined 33 of 91 from the field in the 4 games of this series. Considering the fact that the entire Bulls offense is based on his scoring.. He will need to make some drastic changed if they want any chance of winning tonight.
Both Deng and Boozer tied for 2nd leading scorer in game 4 with 20- points each. To be honest, I never thought I would see the day that Boozer was nipping at the heals of Rose as far as scoring goes lol. Ill give him credit though, I like his style of playing lately. He has a physical presence along with a scoring mindset that has really helped Chicago. Unfortunately for the Bulls though, I don't think it ill be enough.
I consider Korver to be Chicago's X factor. He used to be the one to have the big game changing shots. In these last 4 games though.. he is just shooting 5 for 18 and averaging only 3.5 points per game. Without him, Chicago is missing a very key ingredient to the recipe they use for their success in the regular season. He was able to spread the defense and really incorporate the 3 pointer into their game. Shooting from beyond the arc is all about confidence and unfortunately for the Bulls his is shot though.
The last player I wanted to talk about was Noah. He has been just amazing with his defense. He ties with Collison from the Thunder for my favorite defense player this year. What kills me though... Is that he can do so much more offensively. He has the ability to score in the post and add some much needed points for the Bulls. In my opinion his talents are not being used to their fullest at all and if Chicago wants to win... they will need to use him more.
