The Fakers were not winning a title this year with AD...The big gripe is how the Fakers went out..getting blown out the last 2 games and losing int he 1st round...For being considered mentioned with GOAT MJ..LBJ could not even have 1 wow game in the series where he put his team on his back and said I am going drop 40+ and carry this team and go down swinging...

Why are people acting like this Suns team is a bunch or scrubs or something. They were one of the best teams in the league all season and had a better record than the Lakers. Not a huge Lebron fan but he is one of the best basketball players ever. Lebron didn't quit off the court like Bird and Jordan, Lebron is there for the community and does a lot to help others. Op needs to stick to football he is more knowledgeable there. This is just cheap dog shit analysis.

@melossinglet I'm not here to argue Brother ...I love basketball, believe the best, most hungry , athletic, toughest, and fundamental players played from 1965-1997.. Nothing says I'm right or wrong, just an eye test for me ...Both on TV and on the playground ... It's not real basketball anymore IMO , the Refs call ridiculously soft subjective fouls ..Many of the defenders play matador defense for the better part of a game ... YES I love the old school physical game , it's more realistic of basketball at the best park's in the country...No shady BS ref is there to call ridiculous ticky tack fouls to bail out the offensive player ... The best players I've played with over the years rarely call fouls unless its game point or intentional
okay we can agree to disagree then, neither is going to budge.
from my point of view thats fuccing insane to me..to welcome the idea of a slow,bogged-down,low-scoring slugfest where guys hammer the shi.t out of each other at every chance, thereby limiting the chance to exhibit real skill and athleticism....but okay you dig it,im not gonna argue....i dont follow gridiron but it seems to me like the equivalent of having ONLY running plays where big fatties just bump into each other over a 10 yard channel each play and there is no nuance or trick plays or throwing the ball long.do you also prefer that former style of gridiron i mentioned as well??i know you are a huge fan of the sport so im sure you got your opinions on it.
and i agree with you 100 fuggin %,the fouls called nowadays in hoops is often absurd.its comical to watch, they need to find a happy medium between now and the older days (80s/90s)..offensive players just get bailed out waaaay too much in todays basketball.its a tough watch at times.

The best players I've played with over the years rarely call fouls unless its game point or intentional The dude is just here to argue and defend Lebron at all costs. Sad really. A heck of a night to try and defend him. Its clear that MJ, Bird, Magic, and Kareem are all ahead of him on the all-time list by quite a wide margin. Not close in the eyes of most of the objective followers of hoops.
...hey there, little guy..worked up the nerve to try and dip your toe back in after getting utterly destroyed underneath an avalanche of logic, reason and facts last time, did ya??....absolutely hilarious how you just disappeared from that thread like a fart in the wind when asked why jordan couldnt beat BETTER TEAMS in his first 7 years.
"objective" follower of hoops....my man,you are the diametric OPPOSITE of objective..you are a jock-sniffer of the worst, most rancid kind and let emotions and feelings about your favourite guy get in the way of what sane, rational folk like to call "facts".

The game bogged down in the 90s with the Heat and Knicks and some other teams slowing it down, but you can't say that about the 80s. The Lakers Showtime was all about Magic running the break. Denver ran more than anyone today. Celtics actually ran a lot. Dr J was a 1 man fast break. And other teams.
The difference was the Lakers also had 1 of the best half-court offenses in hisotry, with Kareem, Worthy and Magic all had great post games. Same with the Celtics with Bird, McHale and Parrish

@DeezyAZ81 Are you serious??? Larry Bird better than LeBron... your crazy... I watched basketball during that era... Where is Larry Bird better??? I'll wait???????????? LeBron is a better ball handler, rebounder, passer, defender... Only category Bird is better in is shooter... Y'all are LeBron Haters... study his entire career...
You have no clue about Larry Bird.
Bird was much better than Lebron at passing, rebounding and shooting. Equal at ball handling. Lebron better individual defender but Larry better a team defense.
But the main difference was leadership and in the clutch. Larry hit more game-winning shots than anyone. His leadership was off the charts. If Larry said the team was playing like p-ssies, the team would take notice for the next game. Larry single-handedly took Indiana St to the NCAA finals. Think about that.

The current NBA is less than physical than my son's 10yr old soccer games ..lol .. You got that right ..John Salley said that exact thing on his show he had a few years back ...They'd try to hold a player up while someone else came crashing in , bc it still was only 1 foul . ...Laimbeer would be in prison playing in today's candy arse NBA . I'd pay anything to see a return to the old rules with today's players vs the best 8 teams fromthe 80's and 90's .....98%+ of the today's players would be injured , out indefinitely within the first 3 games they played
They'd whine like crazy when the ref didn't give them soft calls, then when they got a hard foul, they'd probably quit. And half the time they try to score the ref would call travel

Larry was not a better passer and Lebron is not a good individual defender. Never has been. He's one of the best passers of all time but it has faded with age like the rest of his game.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

Did they win finals? LeBron took arguably the worst team ever to NBA finals and gets crushed for losing. I love Legend but you are talking nonsense.
As for thread title to say Bill Russell is better is beyond laughable.

well okay then which is it????y'all cant have it both ways...we are told constantly that lebron is a pu.ssy and couldnt even survive in the "tough, bad old days" where "men were men and you needed an autopsy to get a foul call"...so now you are saying it wasnt that bad at all in a general sense, and that skill and speed could prevail.
and the answer of course is the same as its always been..all you anti-lebron people are driven by HATE..pure and simple.full stop.end of story.you dont care for facts or truth, you are just mind-fucced and clouded with emotion and your own unshakable bias based on the notion that his game isnt pretty to watch and he is awfully difficult to like with the way he conducts himself on court and off...which i accept.he is hard to warm to,to say the least..but that shouldnt stop us from looking at what he has done in the game objectively.
and the guy above nailed it..to suggest that bill russell is actually a better player than lebron.....fuqqing yikes!!!!..you need to be put in an asylum with a straightacket on...."oh,but look how many rings he won!!!!"......mmmm,yeah look how many rings he won(in the friggin 1960s playing against plumbers and accountants).as a reasonable comparison,if lebron played in a league with only 8 teams and his team included curry, durant and harden who the fucc you think would be dominating the league for 2 decades??..thats bill russells career in a nutshell.
